I'm still not sure if I want to see it in Theatres or not.

What I am wondering though is if this Spider-Man film reboot will tie into the Avengers film series at all.

I will talk about the Hunger Games in my next entry.

It won't. Marvel owns the rights to all of the current Avengers movies, and potentially others that are yet to be made, but they don't own the rights to either Spider-Man or, iirc, X-Men. So unless they retrieve those rights, there won't be any Avengers-Spider-Man/X-Men crossovers.

Obviously, this is not true for the comics. But then, comics aren't movies, regardless of how hard they try to be. :P

If he hasn't been a member, then he's at least worked with them before and has definitely had crossovers. Which makes this legal thing an even bigger shame; if it weren't for the Hollywood legal whatevers, we'd get to see Spider-Man chilling with the likes of Iron-Man, Wolverine, Thor and Ghost Rider.

And that would be awesome. :P

Well, character rights and film rights are different. Somehow. I'm not entirely sure on how it works, to be honest.

I think, essentially, it boils down to a company buying the rights to films focusing on a character from the creators of said character. Since all scripts, I guess, are technically public domain and you can do that.

So yeah... I actually don't know. XD It'd be interesting to look up.
