It's very well written. The author's style caught me up and dragged me in, and I didn't find the book boring at all. I finished it in about three days because I couldn't put it down.

In my opinion, it's not that good. The author was about 14 when he wrote it, and it only got published because his parents are publishers. Alot of it is ripped out of professional author's books. Or to put straight forward, It's terrible, don't read it.

To be honest, I really liked it and the sequel. If you're doubtful about it, borrow it from a school library FOR FREE!! That's what I did. I read them, liked them, and ended up with them for Christmas. Although avoid the movie and game at all costs. Just as Vista should be avoided.
