Ektris Posted May 9, 2012 Awesome! Remind me to go to you if I have questions in it next semester. Quote Link to comment
Xaeraz Posted May 9, 2012 I thought a Quantum mechanic was a person who may or may not fix your engine, unless you observe them doing one or the other. Quote Link to comment
Eeko Posted May 9, 2012 I thought a Quantum mechanic was a person who may or may not fix your engine, unless you observe them doing one or the other. The Quantum mechanic will only fix your engine when you watch him, and then when you blink he sends you to the past. Or something like that. Quote Link to comment

Akano Posted May 10, 2012 ET: Good luck! Which text are you using? For my undergrad class, we used Griffiths, and he's awesome. Xaer'Az & Eeko: My undergrad QM professor actually has a mechanic-style shirt that has his name and "Quantum Mechanic" embroidered on the front. When he meets actual mechanics they ask him where he works, to which he replies "Quantum." And that's just great, a Weeping Angel in my blog. NO ONE BLINK!!! MVB: "I think I can safely say that nobody understands quantum mechanics." -Feynman What's more, it's true. Griffiths mentions this quote in his text and says "the goal here is not to teach you what quantum mechanics is, but what quantum mechanics does" (or something to that effect). Sumiki: I already have two cats back home, but neither of them is named Schrödinger. Quote Link to comment
