ET: Good luck! Which text are you using? For my undergrad class, we used Griffiths, and he's awesome.

Xaer'Az & Eeko: My undergrad QM professor actually has a mechanic-style shirt that has his name and "Quantum Mechanic" embroidered on the front. When he meets actual mechanics they ask him where he works, to which he replies "Quantum."

What's more, it's true. Griffiths mentions this quote in his text and says "the goal here is not to teach you what quantum mechanics is, but what quantum mechanics does" (or something to that effect).
