39: Questions Without Answers

Ok, so if Shifting Sands makes it in the contest, some things will need to be clarified. You may ask questions here, and I will answer them if they don't pertain to the story hidden away in this world.

Otherwise, I have some questions to ask you. First off, the Toa presenting the RPG, should I tell the story through him? Should he even be there? Should I have him dying to give the first person in the RPG what was given him? If he is part of the story, what element should he have? What mask? Or do you want me to "GM" sequences, and just have a character that is like everyone else's?

Possible questions from you might be do they teleport in with weapons? Yes, everyone has weapons. Can the gray sand be controlled? No. Is it nano-bots? No. What's to stop someone from camping the middle Shifter? There isn't.

So, yeah. It would be interesting if I told "GM" sequences through first person, but how would he know this stuff? Hmm... Oh, also, possible names?

Question, are people just randomly teleported in or is there a specific reason for each person being teleported in (criminal etc)?

Question/suggestion: would it not be a good idea to add a personality section to the profile form for the RPG?

There is no specific reason for them to be there.

Meh, I did have it there originally, but I'm not sure if it has to be there. Same with the weakness slot. They aren't really needed, and you could add them yourself if you wanted. Hmmm... Maybe I should have them there just to force people to flesh out their characters more as they plan them. I'll think about it.

Personality is a very important slot, honestly. You have to know how another character acts sometimes; it's a lot more important than weaknesses, those can usually be guessed.

I always like the setup of name/species/gender/appearance/powers/abilities/equipment/personality/history. That's the basic needs for the character. Stuff like weaknesses or additional notes, those aren't necessary.
