Is IMAX better? I had the chance to try it out with The Avengers, but didin't because my friends didn't want it.

It depends on the movie. I mean, overall you'll be watching it in a clearer, higher resolution, but from a practicality standpoint, I personally don't think the higher ticket prices are worth it unless the 3D production is also decent.

If it's a choice between IMAX 3D and plain old regular 3D, though, I'd go IMAX.

I was invited by a couple of friends who want to see it in IMAX (probably 3D).

I'm blind to 3D though, but hey, I'm still excited.

Is TDKR in 3D? I thought Nolan deliberately eschewed filming in (or converstion to) 3D in favor of IMAX.

Yeah, doesn't look like it's in 3D (which I totally don't mind).
