Today is the Winter Solstice, the official beginning of winter and, for those of us in the northern hemisphere, the shortest day of the year. From here on, the amount of daylight will increase every day until the beginning of summer. Every day will be brighter than the last.

 

I'd say that's worth celebrating.

It's the start of the end. The Mayans meant that the solstice wouldn't happen, the days will just keep getting shorter until the only survivors are those without a need for sunlight, like geeks like me.
