Wii-U

TNTOS

Yesterday we got a Wii-U -- specifically, the more expensive version -- along with New Super Mario Bros. U. I haven't really played with it or used most of it features, but I'm not particular interested in it. Maybe if we had more games for it I would be, but right now the PS3 just seems better.

NSMBU is pretty much the same as the other NSMB games, except the world map takes a cue from the old Super Mario World game for the SNES, as well as a couple other minor changes. So if you liked the last ones, you'll probably like this one, but if you disliked the previous installments, you probably won't like this one.

NSMBU's use of the Gamepad is not all that bad, really. There are a few situations where you'll be thankful to have a friend be able create a block for you to jump on or hold down an enemy to give you time to go around them. It's kind of fun, although not as fun, IMO, as actually playing as one of the characters. I'd recommend giving it a try at least once, though, even if you don't like it, just to get an idea of what it's like.

Did you try NintendoLand at all? Just wondering since I thought a lot of games in that were pretty fun.

As for your statement about the PS3 being better, I kind have to agreed with you to an extend since it does have a very good library of games for it and PSN service is handle well for the most part.

Although I do feel that Wii U does have potential of having quite a few good games for it in the future. Heck, the Nintendo Directs last month shows that there are going to be some good games down the pipeline.

People just need to be more patience is all. After all, the system only been out for like three months. The PS3 had like seven years to build up its library of games.

I'm very interested in the Wii U, particularly from the very impressive demonstration at Wal-Mart and the three different controller options (Wii U controller, Pro, and Wiimote)... But I'll probably get a 3DS first, simply because there are more quality titles coming out (namely, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon and Mario & Luigi: Dream Team) in addition to already established ones like Super Mario 3D Land and New Super Mario Bros 2.

Haven't tried NintendoLand yet. The Wii-U technically belongs to my older brother and I'm not sure he's okay with us playing it when he's not around. But we'll probably try out NintendoLand soon, I'm sure.

I could see myself picking this system up if they come out with a good amount of titles for it I'd be interested in, or if I fell in love with one while playing it at a store.

Good thing about that is, I'll likely get one when the price goes lower. :P
