So I decided to play Minecraft for the first time in ages yesterday.

 

I got about five minutes in before stopping in awe.

Also holy magikarp has it gotten a lot more resource hungry.

Yeah, those have been in the game for a while, though until recently they were extremely hard to find naturally spawning.

Yeah, I recommend using Optifine whenever you play - I can usually get by with using only around 300 MB of RAM when playing vanilla.

 

For FtB [heavily-modified Minecraft] I'm lucky if I only use one full Gig.

How do I install it? Aside from my Garrus skin, my Minecraft is 100% stock.
