I laughed out loud at the end of the "blooper" version.

I'm not the most fond of the music from the BIONICLE movies. It's memorable, sure, but it seems a bit generically orchestral compared to the blend of tribal and electronic sounds that characterized a lot of previous BIONICLE music (and that was even advertised on the old BIONICLEmusic.com). I was actually hoping to hear the Chronicler's Company theme from MNOG!

At the same time, I'm glad there are some people in the LEGO/BIONICLE music community expressing their love for those brands on a musical level. Not nearly enough of that. I have 102 My Little Pony songs created by fans on my iTunes library. Do you know how many LEGO-related songs created by LEGO fans I have? Nada. Zip. Zilch. The LEGO songs on my iTunes library consist entirely of the Ninjago soundtrack, the LEGO Movie soundtrack, and Ninjago and BIONICLE promotional songs. It's not bad, but it's not nearly as inspiring as music that was created by fans, for fans. And ever since I first became exposed to the lively brony music scene, I can't help but feel disappointed at the absence of musical expression on LEGO sites or at LEGO fan conventions.

I hope you continue to develop and promote your musical talent here on BZPower. Maybe you'll inspire others to take up their instrument of choice and create the sort of LEGO-inspired music that our community currently lacks.

Yeah, the reason I did this piece first is really quite simple. It was the only piece of Bionicle sheet music I could find. I very much intend to do some MNOLG tracks. It's just gonna take considerable time and work to transcribe them myself. :dazed:

Here's a quick note breakdown of a piece of "The Old Fusa Path", which is the music that just screams MNOLG to me. The timing is obviously way off, but hopefully it helps.

I'd actually managed to figure out all but those last three notes, but having it as a picture definitely helps. I had to transpose it up one octave though.

Don't suppose you have more than that? :P

Here's the rest of "The Old Fusa Path":

Though it would probably sound better on xylophone or marimba than ocarina.

I am now officially glad I got the double-chamber ocarina otherwise I wouldn't have the range to hit all those notes. B-)

Practiced it a little and I'm mostly having trouble getting the timing on those last five notes of the melody right. As it is, this is further along than I've actually "studied", so I'm a little sketchy on chamber switching and sharps/flats. Shouldn't take too long though.

As for speed training, I can't recall what tune that is, though I imagine it's MNOLG2.... which I never got very far in. I'll has to look it up on the tube of you's.

I can send you the mp3 files if you want.

(e: also, there are some double and triple notes that I didn't put in for simplicity's sake, so it's better if you hear them anyway)

The speed training was from II, yeah. You had to chase a Takea underwater.

(Also this isn't necessarily all for you to play, I'm just kind of on a roll here. :P)

That wouldn't be the worst idea. Hearing always helps. Are you transcribing these yourself?

Also, KEEP ROLLIN' THEN.

Nice! :) I'm learning more on my Ocarina as well, so maybe I'll take a shot at these.

Oooooohh, what kind of ocarina is it?? Also, if you're looking for some tabs, I've found a few sites with decent stuff like video game/movie theme songs and whatnot.

Yeah, doing my best with my untrained ear. I can send them over Skype whenever you're available.
