People keep telling me to switch to contacts because, apparently, I'm much better looking without glasses. Well forget them, there's no way I'm sticking plastic plates in my eye every day. No sir. I don't even like eye drops.

So good luck with those things!

In all seriousness, though, best of luck! I never made the jump when I wore glasses (back in the old days), so I hope it goes smoothly!

Same here. I've always been extremely squeamish about putting things NEAR my eyes, let alone IN them. Besides that, I've worn glasses since the second grade and have grown so used to them that if I STOPPED wearing I'd hardly recognize myself as the same person. They've become a part of my self-identity.

My avatar agrees!

Yeah, I don't particularly want them either, I am just getting them because I want to be able to be on stage without my glasses and not be flying blind. Especially since my glasses don't exactly fit with the vast majority of my characters. =/

(Funny story. As I typed the above post I wiped my eye and screwed up my contact and I thought I dropped it. Took us like 20 minutes to realize it was just folded out of place in my eye. Oy, this'll be fun.)

E: Oy and like a billion other people commented too while I was eating dinner and other associated such things. Hello! xD

I totally understand the "on stage" bit. The only reason I'm okay being on stage for my choir sans glasses is that I see just well enough to tell the beat. That's all I need, that's all I want.
