Something that confuses me
Why do some people want to go back to Inika builds?
Inika builds had specialised upper torsos and torso armour as well as specialised, one-piece lower limbs. By 2009, we were just merely tolerating them as opposed to going 'oh cool'.
Now tell me: which system had a torso armour that's very hard to repurpose as anything else? Two kinds, maybe more. Which system had only two sizes of upper leg? Which system offers far more opportunity for attaching armours and unique bone structures?
What's even more laughable is the people saying CCBS is too simple. As if Inika builds weren't? Simple legs. Simple arms. Simple body. More pieces does not equal more complex, either. Not to mention, as already said, that the lower limbs were only one, large, pre-defined specialised piece. The biggest offender of this was by far the Inika leg.
Really, the only piece that we still have from the Inika build era (2006-2010) is the Glatorian Neck and some of the feet. The Glatorian neck has survived for good reason, it can actually be used in ways other than a neck! It can be used in situations where the Hordika neck isn't quite suitable. It and the Hordika neck are kind of like prototype-CCBS pieces. Regardless, they fit in well with the rest of the CCBS pieces. They're just missing three holes.
CCBS has even managed something not even the G1 Bonklesystem achieved: gears without sacrificing posability. Functions seem easier to integrate into CCBS, too.
Also, another thing I might as well mentioned: I really wish bright red wasn't so overused. About time for some metru red shells in a set other than Pyrox, I'd say.
And while it's today, I might as well say that: don't look at the system LEGO SW fans' reactions to the SW constraction sets. Just don't.
