Mainly because nostalgia. I actually binged the entire series on YouTube over about two nights, it had a decent concept going. The only problem was... well, the sets for one. I'm gonna go with Power Rangers for two.

The acting was pretty godawful as well, particularly in the earliest episodes. But I'd agree that it had a strong concept otherwise... like a blend of Power Rangers and Doctor Who.
