Wow! I wonder why that happened... Most Flash and picture ads are possible to be blocked by my browser plugin, but I can't get those pesky Google ones. You must have a cooler computer than mine. XD

It was our internet provider having a problem loading images. We missed all the other pictures, but didn't mind being Google-ad-free.

I'll need to get that one. I already have Adblock, and that works great for blocking ads I don't want, but keeping ads someone theoretically would want.

I actually use adblock Plus. Subscribe to the filter, and bing. No ads at all.

If you know how to use it, Internet Explorer gives you the option to restrict access to certain websites that you can specify. I blocked out the google ad and haven't seen it since. It's as if the ad was never even there.

Does that still allow you to use the Google search engine, though?

I usually use Opera, but I put NoScript onto my Mozilla and gave it a test drive. It worked beautifully. Maybe I'll use that browser for BZP. I'll have to look at the settings to make sure it won't block anything I want to see, though.
