Holst on a second here, what's wrong with fixed-do solfege?

I find it's actually easier than non-fixed, to my knowledge, as C is still the same note regardless. (or Ut if you speak French)

I mean, I've only ever used the traditional American note names of A through G, and the adjustment is only magnified by having to learn them at the same time as alto clef. It's not sharp yet, but I'm sure I'll be a natural at it soon enough.
