science fiction?

Since I am soon going to run out of shows to watch, I thought I'd ask you all about your favourite scifi-shows, and why you like them/what you like about them? Both older and recent shows are interesting to me.

As for me, I guess Stargate SG-1 is an all-time favourite. The characters were great, and despite the 10 seasons there were few "low" moments (although the last season was kind of odd and a certain character was revived a few times too many...). Otherwise, Star Trek. TNG and Voyager rank very high on my list (Captain Janeway <3).

I'll put down the boring options and say Doctor Who and Firefly. Doctor Who (the newest series) gets pretty good after the first season. There are some pretty great episodes like Blink (Though they kind of try to milk that episode's concept later on and it just fails to be as cool as the original episode. It's like, yeah, DW, we get it, you used to be cool). I've stopped watching it because I haven't really been hooked on the latest season.

Firefly is okay. It's kind of like a Space Western sort of thing. There are characters with mysterious pasts and drama and overall it's a good story. I think it's kind of over hyped, though.

Other than that, I'd have to use my brain to think of other shows and I dun no how 2.

Ah, with DW I am still at the old series (although, 5th doctor by now. Slowly, but steadily.), so the new Who is definitely also on the list, I just hope it won't be too disappointing. :/

Already saw Firefly, and it was definitely an ineresting show. Although I kinda agree on the overhyped part. Though I guess I actually liked Defiance better than Firefly, because the characters clicked more with me...

Warehouse 13 was one of my favorites. It had some filler episodes, but the first two seasons were great, and the finales were always amazing. Eureka was another good one that used all sorts of science tropes, from teleportation to time travel.
