June Days
Woo, on time! Kinda probably!
So, June.
Started off with my birthday, as Junes do. Wife and I went out for a fancy meal, started playing 007: First Light and started building the LEGO Death Star together with cocktails. All told, a perfectly lovely birthday.
As an aside, when the Death Star was announced, we both really liked the look of it, with the dollhouse-design instead of the ball of old. I was wavering on getting it (a grand remains a lot of money, even with a fairly established career), though the wife was all for it. It's a pile of money, but it's something I like and I'm rigorous in setting aside money for Lego and staying in that budget — why not spend it on something you want. So we walked out of the Lego store with the Death Star the weekend it released. And only just now, near eight months later, are we building it. Because sometimes you gotta wait for the time to build something.
Anyway, I bought Minas Tirith too, so that's next up probably.
Elsewise, June was June.
Oh, the World Cup started too and that's always a delight.
