Plus by approving, I will catch the comment before it is made public.

I think I'll stick to deleteng them manualy, thank you.

But the comments will be made public, and people can see them. And you won't always be around to delete them, and neither will the staff.

Approval of comments and things is a good way to maintain safety. Your blog always has something someone can learn from.

Good idea, but I'm not going to, I just mainly do contests, but if they get out of hand, I'll just mass delete them.
