Mord Posted April 22, 2008 Check it. 'Cause Steam-punk and Willie should always be grouped together. (And will always be black and white.) Quote
cags//cunninghat/2x2b Posted April 23, 2008 Check it. 'Cause Steam-punk and Willie should always be grouped together. (And will always be black and white.) Doesn't look steampunk to me. Go make an LGD petition or something. As if that'll work. ~D Quote
Lluvio Posted April 23, 2008 Go make an LGD petition or something. As if that'll work. ~D Hence the burning sarcasm tags. Oh, wait... I forgot them. Just as well. Quote

Spoony Bard Posted April 23, 2008 Go make an LGD petition or something. That will need approval from a Forum Leader, which I doubt will happen considering online petitions never work, especially since we don't have the amount of people on BZP who are in favor of steampunk that would persuade the minds of Lego. Steampunk does rule though. -Omi Quote

Lluvio Posted April 23, 2008 Yeah, we would hate a Steampunk line... Funny thing is, most of BZP probably thinks that. Quote
cags//cunninghat/2x2b Posted April 23, 2008 At least there's no way it'd be worse than the current Bionicle sets. ~D Quote
Ngakunui Posted April 23, 2008 I actually think a Steampunk theme would be kinda spiffy. Honestly, I'd love to see seemingly sophisticated machines built out of Lego pieces in a 18'th century style. Not sure what the plot for the theme would be, but hopefully, it will be an original, not-licensed-from-something one. So yeah, I agree; that would be rather interesting. -Ngakunui Quote
Neaku Posted April 23, 2008 You mean like Bionicle? No. Steampunk would be awesome, and probably have a much more complicated build/aimed towards older/more advanced fans. =D ~Draco Quote
Spoony Bard Posted April 23, 2008 We need a president with a gattling gun, Lego. NOW. That isn't steampunk....... -Omi Quote
ChocolateFrogs Posted April 23, 2008 Lego should make a steampunk theme! But would the little kiddies appreciate it? Plus, it'd be a lot of brown, and we all know how Lego feels about that. -CF Quote
Spoony Bard Posted April 23, 2008 But would the little kiddies appreciate it? That is like asking if the kiddies like the Town theme. Although it is like the most boring theme ever, Town is one of the very popular. -Omi Quote
Spoony Bard Posted April 23, 2008 most boring theme ever, Town ~D Considering that every year, Town gets clones/revamps of sets from the previous years. How many Police stations does Town really need every year? -Omi Quote
Lluvio Posted April 23, 2008 I'd rather them make a new one every year than put the same out every year. Plus, people like me are just starting to be interested, and how else would we get a police station? Quote
-Sidorak- Posted April 24, 2008 Yeah. I like the concept of town, but it seems that the only sets we get are hospitals, fire stations, and police stations each year. How about a post office or a pizzeria? Why do we have to pay $150 for a real town set (Town Plan)? ~Sidorak The Hunter Quote
GMan Posted April 27, 2008 Check it. 'Cause Steam-punk and Willie should always be grouped together. (And will always be black and white.) Doesn't look steampunk to me. ~D Steamboat Willy is one of the original Mickey Mouse cartoons, in which Mickey Mouse captains a steamboat to comedic effect. It was in black-and-white. We need a president with a gattling gun, Lego. NOW. That isn't steampunk....... -Omi He's referring to that photoshopped image of Abraham Lincoln with a gattling gun for a left arm, if you're not being sarcastic. Quote
