Funny how this turned up at the same time someone dug up his instructions PDF.

 

So, yeah. We've got color images now. We've also got one on BS01, that alright with you, Bink?

 

Dunno where we found it, but I doubt it's leaked since it's a summer set.

I did the image myself, from the layered .psd master packaging files. It's not rocket surgery.

 

So I take it you guys like it?

Wow, definitely looks cool.

 

I must say though that the relative lack of originality in the Matoran body (I've seen the colored image ) kinda turns me off. It's essentially Solek with a different head and mask. But overall I think he looks awesome, and the silhouette makes it look great. Nice job on that, Bink.

I'd like it a lot more if he had the gonzo colors of most store exclusives. Is the Volitak even recolored?

Why must arms and legs not have elbow/knee joints?

I believe Greg said he looked like one, from the pic he saw. So it's wasn't a solid fact.

I was super excited but then I saw the actual pics. Now I am not excited for it.

 

I thought it was a cool four legged monster, but then I saw the pictures. It is a huge turret with another matoran. << The color scheme is messed up a lot by the blue, tan, and red pins, and the usual horrible quality of the recent sets doesn't get help it either. And it doesn't even have new pieces or newer pieces in different colors. Really no reason to buy. =/

 

EDIT: Don't get me wrong, it is a much better set than the rest of the sets this year (except for Takanuva) but even at the level it is, it isn't that great of a set.

It strikes fear into my heart. But it's probably just a Matoran on a turret. Or a more monstrous form of Nidhiki. But probably the first one.

Definately getting him instead of vultraz. He looks like one of the best sets I've ever seen!
