Same here (except you can still sense a crunchy chip through touch so that doesn't bother me). Although hearing is still important to cooking it is one of the least necessary in my opinion (hearing if a pan/grill is hot enough, hearing if something needs to be flipped which can all be accomplished other ways) so I would lose it.

I play Werewolf: the Apocalypse, so basically I know that the way to kill a werewolf is to kill them. A lot. And not let them kill you first, because they most certainly will. Fire works, unless they're Homid, in which case they inevitably took Master of Fire. And silver certainly will help you out. But mostly just kill them until they're dead, since they can't come back to life.

I also concur with the remedy of having a bigger werewolf on your side.
