Quit Your Complaining!
Seriously. Stop.
Now.
I'm gonna scream the next time I look through any place and see someone going "I don't like this choice, you could've done better, there were better MOCs this week, there are better MOCers, yadda yadda yadda"
I don't like it at all. And it's rude to the people who make those decisions, and in the case of the last two, the people who were being highlighted. It's all about personal choices/preferences.
If you're going to say that you don't like a choice, explain why. Explain well. Explain thouroughly.
Don't just say "you could've done better." Say why you think they could've done better. Be clear. Be specific. Be helpful instead of complaining.
If you're gonna be dissapointed, come across as a dissapointed person. Say you're dissapointed. It helps getting the point across. It helps a lot better than complaining.
If you don't like the decisions made by the people hosting spotlights (Argy's MOCotW and Distorted's MOCist spotlight come to mind), you need to push your preferences harder. With MOCotW, you should reccomend which MOC you think should win, and you should get your friends to reccomend what they think should win too. With the spotlight, it's more random. You don't always know who'll be chosen. If you don't like the choice, be dissapointed, say why they aren't the right choice. And if you really don't like the choices made, make your own spotlight.
And to those in the BBC: Quit with the "Needz Moar Custom!" bit. I know ya'll have reduced it a bit, but it still needs to stop. It dissapoints me that ya'll can't say "you should use more detail on the *insert random part*", and then say why it needs the more detail.
Just some thoughts on stuff.
