Yoda Can't Make Soup

So, today I unwittingly roused the swarm by posting in my own comic topic. Fascinating. However, I'm not posting this entry to celebrate it.

I mean, if YOU want to celebrate it and have a slice of cheesecake or somethin', by all means go ahead. But I'm not here to talk about that.

You see, I love to do Stop-Motion Animation. When I have the time that is. So tonight I'm posting a short sequence of Luke Skywalker making a trip to Dagobah. I used a simple, everyday digital camera and a program with chroma key capabilities.

Synopsis: Luke flies to Dagobah, climbs out of the cockpit, uses the force to pull his lightsaber towards him and turns it on (for no obvious reason). He then jumps down, walks over to Yoda and his hut, turns the lightsaber off and enters. Yoda pours Luke a cup of soup which Luke hates so he uses the force to grab the pot (knocking things over in the process) and puts it on Yoda's head.

As you can see, utter senselessness. That is, if you bother to watch you'll see. That is why I do not encourage you to click this link.

Ooh, that was awesome! I wish I had the time for little things like that... XD

What program did you use for the chroma key? I may be interested in something like that...

Yeah, I'd like to know, too. :)

I would be the one to forget the word "not" in the third sentence and change the meaning completely...

Ha, that's better than I'd do, I'm sure. =P

It's Pinnacle Studios version 9. It came with our Dazzle* (no there's no footnotes; the name is spelled with an asterisk) DVC (Digital Video Creator) 150. However, the program doesn't work to well on the Vista we're no forced to use. I made this video on the XP we had before the motherboard fried. Thank goodness we were able to retrieve all of our data from the hard drive still. In any event, version 9 isn't available anymore. Nor is 10 or 11. Only 12 and that's gonna cost you at least $50 if memory serves me. I've got plenty more SMA videos where that one came from so keep an eye out for more!

*Sigh* I miss owning an X-Wing...

Well that certainly was random. I would never have understood it without your explanation.

*Sigh* X-Wing-y, I miss you...
