Please, Vote.

For everyone out there eighteen or older, I strongly urge you to vote tomorrow. I don't really care who you cast your ballot for (though I'm partial to Obama), but it is of the utmost importance that you voter-age persons throw in a say as to which direction out nation should go. Many claim that the system is crooked, that democracy doesn't work. To those who believe that, I say this: If enough of you vote, even the severest bending of the truth, or voter fraud, or the electoral college, cannot cover an evidently overwhelming majority of people supporting a candidate. Please, take what I've said into consideration, and go out there this November the fourth, 2008, and VOTE!

I aggree wholeheartedly on this. Voting counts. Imagine if the people of Germany had not voted for Hitler? The world would be a much different place. We can change the world too. Go and DO.

I was gonna make an entry like this too XP.

But please, vote. One of the greatest things about America is our ability to make a difference. If you are completely and totally undecided, that's a different matter. However, choosing not to vote for the sake of not voting is ridiculous. You are refusing a generous gift on no basis whatsoever. There are so many other people out there who would like to vote, but cannot. Think and vote for them.

Beat you to it. :P

Definitely true, Dorek.

And if you vote, at least you'll be able to complain about the government without sounding dumb. :P

YES!

Ah, you mean like communities in Vermont and elsewhere around the country with dozens of Ron Paul bumperstickers on dozens of vehicles and signs on front lawns... ending up with ZERO votes recorded for him?

Obviously someone had a lot of energy to put up those signs and such. Ron Paul must have gotten at least a miniscule perecntage. Most people campaigning for an unlikely candidate are more active because they want to lose the sense of inevitability that the others have. It's not that it didn't make a difference.

I bet all those people who voted for him made a huge difference to Ron Paul.

As an American, I have the right to choose whether to vote or not.

I have the right to not vote.

This is true. I'm not saying that every voting-age american must vote, but I think that it is a valuable privilege. :)
