Honestly?

Why would anyone want Omi to resign?

He's like the best staff member (IMO [from what I've seen]) on this board. He enforced the rules, did his job, and some people decide to tell him they don't want him here? I mean, honestly, if you can't deal with being moderated on a forum for kids, then why go to this forum? There are many other forums and places with much less moderation and with poorer staffing or lax guidelines.

How can you go up to Omi and say "I don't want you here, I don't want you to do a good job on this board"? Members need to respect the staff of this board. They make sure it runs smoothly and is maintained, and that it isn't inappropriately spammed and such.

That said, I hope that who ever replaces Omi does just as good a job as he did.

Though I have to ask: Who could replace Omi?

Mehbeh it wasn't his moderation skills that made people want him to leave. And he could have just dealt with the "mean comments".

Omi does what Omi wants, and goes his own way.

Some people cannot handle that I guess.

This one. He did his job fine, but he was often very rude. I have no problems with the way he does his job, just his general attitude. Not the best person to be in a roll-model-like situation.

But let it be known that I never asked him to resign. I don't know who did that.

(But hasn't he done this before? He'll probably be back on the job in a month or two.)

Omicron left?

O_o

I have to say, I don't know why anybody'd want him to go. Sure, he was blunt sometimes, but it's his and every staffer's right to be, and a lot of the time he's just joking.

I do hope he comes back.

I will have to agree on this one, on a slight point. He did seem like a bugger, sometimes, and would probably be the last person I'd think of for a role-model. But hey, that's Omi. That's very possibly Shilo, as well. Who knows how the man really acts, because I certainly don't.

Apologies to the great and almighty Omicron for using his true name.

WHAT.

I can't believe it. Omi was one of the greatest Staff members I've met on any forum. Not only was he a great rule enforcer, but he was funny, and actually nice. You usually don't see all these qualities in a moderator.

If anyone pressured him to drop out of staff by saying he was mean, or he was sick of people saying this... D:

Wow.
