Pity it didn't go further, the show's humor was ever-present, with MANY a hilariously fruity screencap to be had.

This show LOVED their prop comedy.

Yup, Bionic Six.

A show with animation that wasn't as sucky as all the other "American" cartoons of the day (1987-ish).

Oh, they had cliche' episodes like every other cartoon, they had to watch it with the violence and stuff like other cartoons, but they did everything pretty well... just somehow better.

I think Dr. Scarab was one of my favorite enemies, ever. He wasn't really all that, but he was constantly muttering priceless insults under his breath.

Ran for 65 episodes, yet had a toy line that floundered and choked, mostly due to poor execution of the figures, which were people with various limbs made of diecast metal.

(Some of the paintjobs were VERY messy).

Somewhere around here I still have their pet robot ape FLUFFI, but it was dumb... although a very heavy figure, he didn't have hands like in the show... the lower arms just being a big, heavy, knuckle-dragging arch.

It's sad more people don't know this show.

I don't even think it was ever released on DVD.

And it seems I'll have to yank out something WAY more obscure next time.

I suggest everyone reading this now search out it's opening theme online at some video site, as it's rather catchy.

Well, it's on Sci Fi. I looked up the listings of any animated shows on Sci Fi, ruled out all the newer ones, then picked through the retro stuff, ignoring anime and Transformers and so forth.

Hahaha, I knew some shenanigans would take place.

Granted, that was a lot better than finding you'd asked on a classics cartoon messageboard.
