I liked how the lego man looks around all "Whaaat?" when you did it.

To me, Lego Island comes first, then Lego Racers.

And this is after the fact I've had the Lego Racer games for years, but only just joined the Lego Island fanbase.

Though sometimes it's beneficial not to.

Case in point: Royal Knights Raceway. The shortcut skips across a curve that has three white bricks on the close inside edge.

I played it once at the LA computer fair. That game was awesome.

I almost got it, but I was intending to get an ancient Lego Star Wars set afterward, so I didn't.

Totally not, nOOb. The shortcut is grass and it slows you down.

Besides, they almost never get anything past the first one.

Slow you down on a course with few green bricks, no less. :\When I used to play this game, I always took shortcuts anyways. I just assumed that it always had to be the better path.

But the Ice Planet shortcut rocks. You can cut off a large part of the track and get a ton of white bricks and even a green brick. :3 Yeah, I guess I'm being cheap.

You guys have clearly never played Rock Raiders.

Or maybe you did, and just hated it. I know I'm one of the few to love that game. LEGO Island is awesome, too.

The games nowadays like Star Wars, BIONICLE Heroes, Indiana Jones, and Batman are cool and all, but it just seems like the same game over and over again, only with different characters.

I played LEGO Racers so much, I memorized every shortcut, all the characters, etc... Knightmare-athon didn't have a shortcut, though. The hardest ones for me to discover were the two on Magma Moon Marathon.

I think that has a bunch of little secret routes that make up for it.

Also yeah, the first time I noticed the first one, I had no idea how to activate it.
