Raanu And Texting? Lucky Day...
January 26, 2009
*whistles* Wow, I need to stop being so vague...all my recent entries are filed under "Good News/Bad News". Just, please, someone stop me from making a category called "Random", or every entry I make will be in there. :]
Let's start with Raanu...I decided to go to Walmart today in the hopes of picking up an Agori. I finally let my Gresh first dream go and instead decided to start with the Agori and work my way up to the Glatorian when I begin to earn money, then the titans. Earing $7 is a much more manageable goal than scrounging together $13...
So. Raanu. Wonderful, I must say, especially because there was only one piece there that I already had. Every single piece was new for me, whether recolored or exclusive to '09--even the body, because I didn't pick up a Matoran last year with his body design. So he was very worth it for me. The only thing I already had was the Hordika Flamesword...
I wanted to address a couple of points. He's awesome, first off, and the Vahi-like helmet is very much homely. Alien, but comforting. The size really surprise me...I was expecting something much bigger. I loved this change, though; it makes helmets seem like real collectables instead of hunks of useless plastic that don't even fit in your pocket *cough*Olmak*cough*. The head was also surprisingly small, and I also liked that. And the design. A lot nicer than the reviews and pictures made it out to be. I'm in love.
His color scheme is great, though it consists of--you won't believe this--five colors: Metru Red, Keetorange, Orange, Dark Grey, and--Mata Red. His shield is indeed Mata Red, against all my doubts, and for that, I am pleased. Having these pieces in that color is also nice--I love using those, and it's going to make some of my MOCing bits a little more lively and different.
And my take on the hands? AWESOME. I love it. It doesn't look "goofy" at all, but rather nice, to me. It adds an aspect that was lacking in Matoran Universe Sets. It makes them seem more...human. Easier to empathize, to understand, the character. And I can finally have a fistfight with my sets. SWEET. xD

TEXTING. YESS
I've been begging my mom FOREVER. Months now. She finally obliged with the consent that she would drop my dad's Media plan--internet and all that good stuff. He never used it, so getting something we all would use was in everyone's best interest, though it adds ten bucks to the phone bill. But what the hey, unlimited!
And I can set up AIM so I can actually use the program FROM MY PHONE. If you've got AIM, then I really wanna have your SN now. :] I'll never stop talking.
That is, if I ever get quick enough to start...but, y'know, practice makes perfect. Not that it's particularly easy on the stupid Razor. But trust me, I'll make sure to get a new phone someday.
So I'm happy. Overjoyed, actually. Be overenthusiastic and support my short-lived joy. =DD
