All that I'm lacking is his helmet. I still can't find Metus anywhere, so my dad is ordering him this evening. He should be in before next week, which will give me plenty of time for photography (It's spring break!!! :bigsmile: )

Aside from the helmet, everything else is pretty much complete in my opinion. His color scheme is as follows: white, white armor, some gray spattering with light blue as his secondary color. In addition, he has some trans/light blue highlights.

He possesses a crystal sword/blade, a white shield which is very Kopaka-esk, and of course a Thornax launcher. His build is an Inika based one, although I have done some modifications to it. The upper arms are 100% custom, and his chest armor is not traditional.

All in all, I (personally) love him. He's fun to play around with, and I'm looking forward to sharing him with you guys! :D

Overall it's not bad. I don't really like that sword, though, it's pretty weird [just the fact that it's a totally different color]. :P

 

I'll give a nice and lengthy review once the topic is up!

Wooha. It's quite nice.

The upper legs and arms though... upper legs need more armor and smoothness on the out and insides. Upper arms need the center to be shifted a bit towards the middle, if you know what I mean.

And by "need" I mean "I think it would be way better if." I get it if you disagree.

But the torso is very good. I haven't been able to use the metruan armor well myself - it's a difficult part to use - but it looks nice here.

Thanks guys! And I get what you meant perfectly Bunda. ^_^ I get your meaning on the arms, although I'm not so sure I would be able to fix that; I'm pretty satisfied with how they are now, if you get my meaning! :)

That is a -delightful- use of Gorast's wing. The sword just needs a little trans-blue in the hilt somewhere.

 

Yeah, the sword would probably look better with some trans-blue. I like how you used it, but I just don't think it fits since nothing else is that color, but that's just me. :P

Ah, but I am not you, and therefor I do not have to follow your MoCing criteria in order to make a good MoC.
Just because you say so doesn't mean it has to be so.

What disappoints me is the fact that you can't seem to be open minded when it comes to MoCs.
Either they are built the way you would have built them or they are horrible...

I didn't say a single thing about the quality of the MOC. All I said was that the weapons didn't fit with the MOC IN MY OPINION.

 

Never said you had to follow what I said. All I said was that I didn't like the choice of weaponry.

 

I am not you, and therefore I do not have to love your MOC.

 

@ Bunneh: Iunno they just feel like Kopaka to me. Maybe that's because I can't really see the other half of the blade. *shrug*

Y'know, when somebody is an obviously better MOCist than you, it's often not a bad idea to at the very least listen to their advice, by which I mean actually think about it, rather than dismissing it offhand as you seem to do with every bit of valid criticism anyone throws in your direction.

 

You ought to rejoice that you're even getting that much, rather than being ignored by anybody who regularly puts more into their posts than the "KUTGW 11061/10" tripe that seems to be nearly the only thing circulating BBC these days.

Point taken. I see that now. To be honest, I was a bit rushed in replying to Winslow's comment, and I got a little over defensive there, and thus I missed the "IMO" part.

Looking back at your comment, I agree with you that my comment in response to yours was a bit unwarranted. Yours just came across to me as a bit offensive at the time, and thus I jumped to a conclusion that was incorrect. For that I apologize. Will you forgive me for jumpin' off the handle there? :rolleyes: I understand where you were coming from now; it was your opinion on the weapons selection. Sorry once again!

As to the weapons, I didn't have Kopaka in mind at all when I made them; I just like 'em and thus used 'em! ^_^ I wasn't trying to copy him at all. In fact, the shield isn't even his (Kopaka's). It's the underside of a X-Pod!

I don't know if I would have called that advice, but rather an observation. Nor did I dismiss it. How could I? I see it as his opinion on a part of the MoC; he gave no other option to change the weapons to. What do I have to dismiss?

Seeing as I have seen none of Winslow's MoCs I can't really judge if he's a superior. However, if you think so, then that's fine with me! And you are perfectly right when you say that I should be happy with that much. I am thankful for not being ignored! :)

Again, sorry for the misinterpretation on my part guys!

I hate it when people say who's a better MOCist [yes, I consider both GBG and Laka MOCists - see my blog on that]. Especially when it's right in front of one of them.

 

It's all up to personal likeness, really. Kopakalakalakalkalkalkalka [=P] has many great MOCs, but so does GBG [well, fewer, but still, that Skotraxx was pretty cool, as well as his gun, and now his Certavus].

 

...unless of course you're talking about Cajun or Darth Vader, then they completely own everyone in awesomeness. =P

 

But, seriously. It could be quite offending to say something like you did, Cags. Especially when it isn't obvious that he's a better MOCist [i'm not saying he is, I"m quoting you - I'm not going to say who I think is better]. Laka hasn't posted an MOC in a while save his Certavus, which isn't one of his better ones [though, I'm sure that it'll be fixed when he posts it, since it's mainly the colors].

 

Laka knows I think he's awesome due to me asking him some things a while ago. GBG is really good, too. I really liked that Skotraxx MOC.
