Confederated Inter-Related Collaborative League of Epics

Once again I'd like to welcome everyone, now straight to more business.

The fifty-sixth article proposed by Ballom is as follows:

Ballom hereby proposes that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" there are Kanohi known as Honiara (hoh-nee-AH-ruh), the Great Mask of Mind Linkage, which grant the user the ability to access the thoughts and senses of a target's minds, thus allowing them to experience what is going on through another perspective, however it only works if the target does not have sufficient willpower to resist, or if for some reason a strong minded target simply chooses not to resist.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY".

The fifty-seventh article proposed by Talvak is as follows:

Talvak hereby proposes that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" there are Kanohi known as Hulkan (hull-KANN), the Great Mask of Invulnerability, which allow the user the ability to become virtually impervious to physical attacks, although the mask usage is very exhausting and can therefore only be maintained for a short period of time.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY".

The fifty-eighth article proposed by Ballom is as follows:

Ballom hereby proposes that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" there are Kanohi known as Ijuta (aye-JOOO-tuh), the Great Mask of Tectonics, which permit the user the capacity to create earthquakes and tremors, as well as sense natural occurrences of disasters, all within a three-hundred kio radius.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY".

The fifty-ninth article proposed by Talvak is as follows:

Talvak hereby proposes that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" there are Kanohi known as Jezek (JEHZ-ehk), the Great Mask of Elasticity, which grant the user the ability to become rubber-like and thereby stretch any part of their body, however the farther the user stretches, the weaker their physical strength becomes.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY".

The sixtieth article proposed by Talvak is as follows:

Talvak hereby proposes that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" there are Kanohi known as Kiros (KEE-rohs), the Great Mask of Solid Energy Projection, which allow the user to create objects of solid light-based energy projected forth from the mask, for as long as they continue to concentrate on the construct they are employing.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY".

The sixty-first article proposed by Ballom is as follows:

Ballom hereby proposes that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" there are Kanohi known as Marukti (maah-ROOK-tee), the Great Mask of Liquefaction, which permit the user to change the composition of their body from solid to liquid, allowing for better mobility and stealth, as well as granting them the ability to regenerate missing body parts or lost weapons while in the liquid stage.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY".

The sixty-second article proposed by Ballom is as follows:

Ballom hereby proposes that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" there are Kanohi known as Nektana (neck-TAHN-uh), the Great Mask of Life Support, which grant the user the ability to survive without food, drink, or sleep, by providing a constant supply of oxygen and nutrition, as well as allowing for survival within vacuum.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY".

And with that said, I open this thread up for discussion on the various articles for the proposed enhancement of our group structure and joint storyline.

Please be sure to vote on all seven articles in this thread.

Also, note that this discussion and the corresponding voting will end at 1200 PST (Noon in the Pacific Time Zone) on Monday, May 11th, 2009 provided that at least 2/3 of C.I.R.C.L.E. Members have voted at that point.

Lastly, the C.I.R.C.L.E. Members will be notified of the results via the C.I.R.C.L.E. Results Overview & Discussion thread, however, when there are other blog threads where authors can vote on the proposals surrounding the details of C.I.R.C.L.E., that communication will still happen via PM.

Thanks.

Aye to all.

All seem to be great mask ideas. In fact, two of them at the least, I've used in the past and forgotten about. They're great ideas that will be fun to manipulate in the future.

Nay it's to much like Suletu and it kind of makes Auset's power moot

Nay I don't like Invincibility its too cheap

Aye, but it would give Toa of Earth an unfair advantage

Nay, Doesn't sound like a good mask power

Aye, I really like this idea. It gives rise to interesting ideas

Nay, Again unfair advantage

Aye, Life support is a good mask power

Article 56: Aye. Sounds like a useful mask. But should there be a limit is all I'm asking. Nay. Erebus has a point.

Article 57: Nay. again, Erebus has a point.

Article 58: Nay. I hate to be picky, but it makes a Toa of Earth seem moot. Bleh.

Article 59: Aye. Funny, I had the same idea. Guess it's time to change names!

Article 60-62: Aye. They sound pretty good, and make much sense.

Aye to all stated articles, especially my own!

By the way guys, I am fully aware of Auset's power and the Suletu's. But seeing as how Chompshi has had that mask for the last 2 epics, I am not willing to make it not exist. Power modifications may need to happen if there is a massive "Nay" to it, but I will not delete the Honiara.

Also, Erebus, then all Toa of Water have unfair advantages, possessing total control over water. The Marukti just changes that control a bit.

56- UNDECIDED- It seems there may be a bit of an argument some are thinking of. NAY- It's a Suletu-sorta-thing.

57- NAY, for now. Unless the article can be changed. I think this Mask should be extremely rare-- only a few in the Universe. Can we have a time frame of how long the user is invincible?

58- NAY- It's cancelling out the element of Earth.

59- AYE- It's nice to see Elemental Kanohi

60- AYE- can we consider this to be Solek's Kanohi?

61- AYE- Seems like it can be used by both Makuta and Toa.

62- AYE- I like that.

Nay to Article 56. It does seem too much like a Suletu, so I don't see any need.

Aye to Article 57. I want to see what people will do with this, since the Vohtarak never seemed to use this ability in the official canon.

EDIT: Nay to Article 58. The radius is too large of an area for the user to effect. Undecided on Article 58. If it were a smaller radius for the creation of tremors, I would say aye.

Aye to Article 59. I suddenly flash to the Incredibles. :P It's an interesting concept.

EDIT: Aye to Article 60. Undecided on Article 60. I can't tell if it's similar the Avohkii or not.

Aye to Article 61. But if you loose a limb, could you not change to a liquid and regenerate the missing limb, or it only regenerates limbs and/or weapons that were present before the transformation.

EDIT: Aye to Article 62. Undecided on Article 62. Does the user need to concentrate to use the mask?

I think we need a wiki. :P

Undecided on Article 62. Does the user need to concentrate to use the mask?

No, its effects are always active.

"AYE" to Article 56. Both the Honiara and the Suletu are capable of the same thing, but "Mind Linkage" sounds like it works both ways with the user and the target able to access the other's mind. Kind of like Tren Krom.

"AYE" to Article 57. Yeah, it's cheap. That's why people hate Superman. That's why it's only temporary. Prolonged use could kill the user.

"AYE" to Article 58. Ausar raises a very good point.

"AYE" to Article 59. I fail to realize why it's not a good power, considering it's been used by others multiple times through out the years. Plus, it's a Makuta power.

"AYE" to Article 60. It's my own personal mask. It works very much like Solek's power and the Toa Nuva's Ghost Blasters.

"AYE" to Article 61. I do have one question; can only part of the body be liquefied or the entire thing?

"AYE" to Article 62. A useful mask for one is deathly ill or suffered great physical trauma.

Article 56: Aye. I like it, but it sounds a LOT like the Suletu. It's pretty much mind/emotion reading, right?

Article 57: Aye, sounds like it could be one of those awesome climactic masks =P

Article 58: Aye. YES. YES. YES.

Article 59: Aye, sounds really sweet. Also, Fantastic Four anyone? 8D

Article 60: Aye. The power sounds somewhat odd, but we've had our share of weird masks.

Article 61: Aye.

Article 62: Aye, sounds useful, somewhat like an improved Kaukau. I might use this in my epic Zamorslinger instead of the "Kanohi of Breath Control" characters use to breathe in space ^.^

The entire body can be liquified.

The entire body can be liquified.

Oops. Sorry, I worded the question wrong. What I meant to ask was if the user has to become entirely liquified or can the user limit it to part of his or her body?

The only article here that I'm going to say nay to is Article 58. Assuming that every element has its own respective elemental mask, there would be a Mask of Earth that would allow the user to do the same thing as the Ijuta plus far more.

So, aye to Articles 56-57 and 59-62, nay to Article 58.

It would be difficult to control a liquid limb and a solid limb at the same time, but the mask's effect can definately be limited to certain body parts.

Since when did all elements have respective masks?

Anyway, as you've said, the Ijuta is narrower in scope than the potential mask of Earth, so its use would be different as well -- allowing greater strength in the areas it covers.

True but Toa of water can not liquify themeselves or anything else. But don't all Elemental wielders have an unfair advantage when fighting an opponent who wields a different element. They merely control water and manipulate it as with all other elements. Look at it this way. Are you going to be able to defeat a water creature?

Only if the right things are there like a toa of fire, or a toa of lightning, or plasma or weapons that can use something like these elements As I stated in the next poll the mask power seems like it would take way too much of a beings energy to use/

Link to comment

I believe what Erebus is trying to say is that a Toa of Water might have an unfair advantage against a Marukti user. But if I'm not mistaken Ballom, don't you have a Toa of Water wield this mask in your epic?

I don't believe anything is "unfair". But I do believe in uneven odds.

Link to comment

Yes, Heaka does wear the Marukti in my epics. Thankfully, she's never faced a Water Toa. :P But her mask has helped her out of several sticky situations.

I believe that there can be uneven odds too, but I don't believe that the Mask of Liquification causes them.

P.S. I am sorry for my recent absence, my computer took a dirt nap for a while. However, now I'm back. Before my only ability to get on was to watch the days left before I was disengaged from my position in the CIRCLE, as my computer would not allow me to send information such as posts.
