You Are The Resistance

I saw Terminator Salvation today. Very awesome. Very good movie. Might be the best action movie of the summer, IMO. Plenty of stuff going on, but, unlike Transformers, there was plot and coolness all rolled into one (without whiney LeBouf) and not explosions every second (which I'm not saying is a bad thing...). (Though Star Trek might be the best action movie of the summer. Hmm...)

Bale was great. Worthington was too. Actually, all the actors did a very good job. The movie was just so full of WIN. And it wasn't as violent/bloody as I thought it would be, which is a plus.

I really wish we didn't know from the trailers/commercials that Marcus's character was a robot/human hybrid. It really would have helped with the surprise/plot twist details. Oh well, anybody who hasn't seen the trailers will enjoy that aspect. (I guess it's like, by the time I watched Star Wars: A New Hope, I already knew that Vader was Luke's father, even though that isn't revealed in the first film.)

I had thought they'd throw Kyle into a time transporter when they were still in the base, since he needs to go back in time. (But since I haven't seen the first, though the second and third, my guess it he'll need to be calmed down and matured before they do that?)

I guess in he 5th movie Connor will have to be killed off, as the 3rd movie says. I hope we see the first few terminators being sent back in time, however they do that...

I'd recommend it to anyone who's looking for a good action/sci-fi movie right now. (Aside from Star Trek.) Even if you haven't seen too many/any of the other Terminator movies (though it would help).

Notable trailers: Sherlock Holmes !!! , Public Enemies, and I might look into The Surrogates graphic novel.

Don't be so sure that in the 5th movie Connor will be killed. Keep in mind that he now knows of his death, so he can prevent it from happening.

Also Salvation is in 2018. We still have to get to when Connor sends back Reese, which is in 2029.

Ya, it was an awesome movie. And I know what you mean about Marcus. *sigh*

Did you lol at the hammer thing in the Sherlock Holmes trailer? I know I did. I was disappointed there was no trailer for Transformers 2. I would have loved to see the newest trailer on the big screen.

I never saw/paid attention to the trailer, so I wasn't spoiled on that point. I guessed it long before it happened, anyway.

Ah, I didn't know when Reese was sent back. And I hope Connor can prevent his death (paradoxes aside), but does he know how he is killed?

Yeah, that part was funny in the trailer. The whole thing looks like WIN. There was a Transformers 2 trailer before mine. Weird. Pretty awesome on the big screen.

The T-850 (Ahnuld) told him. In T3. Like you mentioned. :P

OK. Right. Well, aside from just "Arnold kills him"? IDK...

One more thing I thought of: the computer talking to Marcus said that the other Terminators failed (T-850, T-1000, and T-X) but he succeeded. How could they have known about that if it happened in the future, especially if the T-800 was just starting to be made at the present time?

Movie contradicts itselfin terms ofknowledge. Same case when Reese was the #1 target (only cuz he is John's father) but Skynet wouldn't know that.

Yes, they're making a Sherlock Holmes movie. With Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man) as Holmes. It's going to rock.
