Today we had the last time "Chemical Olympics" (I fail at translating, I know) for this year (it's some sort of course you can do if you want to, but you don'T have to) and we made some experiments.

So. You know what stinks horribly? The answer: Ammonia (NH3). IT's so... blarg, I tell you, it stings in nose and mouth, and smells so horrible... we only used a little but it was... fun. We made some crystals that explode if you hit them with something.

And we burnt lots of Acetone (C3H6O). ^^

It's always cool, and we do lots of things that have to do with fire (muhuahahahaaaaa  ).

Yeah. Just wanted to tell ja that NH3 stinks horribly.

Does anyone know why they call it ammonia? Nitrogen trihydride would be more appropriate.

I agree... but I have no clue either. Perhaps because it is shorter?

No wait... I read something about that a while ago... I'll see whether I can find it
