Confederated Inter-Related Collaborative League of Epics

Once again I'd like to welcome everyone, now straight to more business.

The revised one-hundred-nineteenth article proposed by Toa_Ausar, Tohunga Tahnok & --V-- is as follows:

Toa_Ausar, Tohunga Tahnok, and --V-- hereby propose that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" there exist extremely rare "Gahngesian Communications Systems" (gahn-JEE-zhuhn kah-myoo-nih-KAY-shuhn SISS-tuhms), also known as "GahnComms" (GAHN-kahms). As their name suggests, these devices were invented by a Makuta named Gahnges and are typically utilized by the top lieutenants and other high-ranking servants of the Brotherhood of Makuta to converse with one another over long distances. Furthermore, each current module allows for the rapid relay of information via a keypad uplink and is outfitted with a built in positioning system. On occasion Makuta themselves even utilize these devices to initiate transference of large amounts of data or conduct multipersonal communications that they are otherwise unable to easily perform via their innate Telepathic abilities.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY".

The one-hundred-twenty-seventh article proposed by Kohila & Toa_Ausar is as follows:

Kohila and Toa_Ausar hereby propose that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" the Makuta Miserix be henceforth associated as the Makuta of Destral.

Furthermore, he shall be considered the overseer of said region until such time as a Canon assignment is revealed.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY".

The one-hundred-twenty-eighth article proposed by Tohunga Tahnok is as follows:

Tohunga Tahnok hereby proposes that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" the Makuta of the western region of the Southern Continent is a being named Gahnges (GAHN-jees) who is extremely adept with tools, specifically using them to design vehicles and other devices for the Brotherhood of Makuta. Furthermore, Gahnges is at present the Transportation Chief for the Brotherhood as well, and shall remain as the overseer of said region until such time as a Canon Makuta's name for this assignment is revealed.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY".

The one-hundred-twenty-ninth article proposed by Kohila is as follows:

Kohila hereby proposes that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" there resides an extremely small and isolated faction of Matoran known as the "Meiu" (MYE-oo) that have devoted their lives to the research of Elemental Power within a portion of an abandoned Temple of the Great Spirit Mata Nui. Although they have built many different devices capable of manipulating Elemental Energy in various ways, they have thus far failed to invent specifically what it was that they are seeking.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY".

The one-hundred-thirtieth article proposed by Kohila is as follows:

Kohila hereby proposes that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" there existed a one-of-a-kind Kanohi known as the Vahualsi (vah-hoo-AHL-see), the Legendary Great Mask of Time Travel, for an extremely brief period of time before being promptly used and destroyed.

As chance would have it though, Quozek, the Makuta of Tiuarga Nui, inadvertently witnessed the single instance that this Kanohi was utilized and quickly reported his findings to the rest of the Brotherhood of Makuta. This event later served as significant inspiration for Teridax as he requested that a Legendary Mask of Time be crafted, in hopes that it would help speed his plan to enslave the Matoran of Metru Nui.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY".

The one-hundred-thirty-first article proposed by Ballom is as follows:

Ballom hereby proposes that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" there exists a one-of-a-kind Kanohi known as the Zlinj (ZLINNJ), the Great Mask of Nature. Amongst other things this mysterious mask allows the user to see all that life is, from the first moment that it was created to the end of the user's own existence, through the eyes of the surrounding environment itself. Furthermore, with great concentration it also grants the user the ability to summon the forces of Nature such as Plants, Rahi, etc. willingly to their aid.

This Kanohi is an immensely powerful mask forged from black metal and red volcanic rock by Turaga Sāh Atemu on the Isle of Kemet Nui. The Zlinj was created with channels inside it, through which small quantities of molten Protodermis continue to flow. It was taken to the Isle of Terra Nui in the time before time, affixed to the face of the Great Spirit Mata Nui fountain statue it was shipped with. There it remained, unbeknownst to Turaga Sāh Akito, yet under his watchful eye for safekeeping, until the villainous Makuta of Shakaz, known only as "The Dark Lord", and his vile band of Sharaku came looking for it some 44,400 years later.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY".

The one-hundred-thirty-second article proposed by Ballom is as follows:

Ballom hereby proposes that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" there exists a one-of-a-kind Kanohi known as the Crystal Zlinj. This is the sister mask of the Great Zlinj and possesses mysterious powers that are currently unknown, however, when worn by a Toa, it is powerless.

It appeared mysteriously in the depths of an abandoned ore mine beneath the Isle of Terra Nui shortly after the arrival of the true Zlinj. It is visually similar to the Great Zlinj, only the Crystal Zlinj is made from a single piece of translucent green crystalline Protodermis, which pulses periodically.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY".

The one-hundred-thirty-third article proposed by Toa_Ausar is as follows:

Toa_Ausar hereby proposes that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" the word "Sepţiu" (sehp-ZHEE-oo) shall henceforth be considered a noun in the Matoran language meaning "those who are saving destiny".

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY".

The one-hundred-thirty-fourth article proposed by Ballom is as follows:

Ballom hereby proposes that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" there existed seven unique artifacts known as "Terra Nui Keystones" found in various colors. One was a massive, flat, shrine-like piece with sockets for the other six, which fit securely together to form a six-sided pyramid thereon. When collected upon the top of Mount Tongaru, the "Terra Nui Keystones" pointed the way to the Crystal Zlinj.

Years later, the "Terra Nui Keystones" shattered, releasing beings that the Matoran dubbed "The Quntaino". Currently, no one knows how these organic beings arose from what was thought to be inorganic stone and the origins of the "Terra Nui Keystones" themselves remain unknown at this time.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY".

And with that said, I open this thread up for discussion on the various articles for the proposed enhancement of our group structure and joint storyline.

Please be sure to vote on all nine articles in this thread.

Also, note that this discussion and the corresponding voting will end at 1200 PST (Noon in the Pacific Time Zone) on Monday, September 7th, 2009 provided at least 2/3 of C.I.R.C.L.E. members have voted at that point.

Lastly, the C.I.R.C.L.E. members will be notified of the results via the C.I.R.C.L.E. Results Overview & Discussion thread, however, when there are other blog threads where authors can vote on the proposals surrounding the details of C.I.R.C.L.E., that communication will still happen via PM.

Thanks.

119a- AYE. I'm liking the changes you three have made.

127- AYE. I've always thought of Antroz overseeing Odina, or Stelt.

128- AYE. I really don't think that the canon Makuta of Nynrah will ever be named, and this description seems like the kind of Makuta that would oversee the region.

129- UNDECIDED.AYE. May I ask, where, this Temple of the Great Spirit Mata Nui is? Or is this just the Great Temple? And, as said below, do we need another subspecies of Matoran? All right, if you changed it to a faction, I'll be fine with it. ^_^

130- UNDECIDED. *sigh* Time Travel is pushing these powers. Now, I'm leaning toward AYE on this, but only because this was in use for a brief period of time. NAY. That's pushing it. Sorry, but Time Travel wasn't even supposed to be brought into the BIONICLE Universe.

131- AYE. This has been featured in your first Terra Nui epic, right, Ballom?

132- UNDECIDED. What's the point of it, other than pulsing? AYE. I really want to know these powers, but it seems I will have to wait.

133- AYE. Grr. You keep teasing us with these names. I still think this has something to do with the Sepţit of Tarth's epic.

134- AYE. But I still want to know about that Crystal Zlinj.

Aye to Article 119a. It sounds much better than the previous version.

Aye to Article 128

Aye to Article 129

Aye to Article 130

Aye to Article 134

If anyone needs a reason for why I voted the way I did, please PM me.

"AYE" to Article 119. I do this hesititantly because I still feel that human based tech really doesn't belong in the BIONICLE universe and that some sort of stone or crystal would be better. However, that is my personal taste. Otherwise, the Article is fine.

"AYE" to Article 127. I see no reason to oppose this.

"AYE" to Article 128. Again, no reason to oppose.

"AYE" to Article 129. Do we really need another Matoran subspecies? These sound like the Ga-Matoran scholars of Metru Nui.

"NAY" to Article 130. Greg said no time travel.

"AYE" to Article 131. When one considers it, the Zlinj is like a powered down Ignika. The Ignika can create and control Life, the Zlinj can only control it.

"AYE" to Article 132. No reason to oppose.

"AYE" to Article 133. Again, no reason to oppose.

"AYE" to Article 134. Once again, no reason to oppose.

I vote "AYE" on Article 119a and applaud the strategic revisions if I may. :P

Next, I vote "AYE" on Articles 127 & 128. The Makuta names and assignments all sound good to me. :fonz:

Article 129 gets an "AYE" from me as well.

Meanwhile, I have decided to vote "NAY" Article 130. Although the Legendary characteristics of the mask are adequately described to make the designated classification valid, including the lack of consequences for of the mask's destruction, which have been elaborated upon, I would still like to know what they would have been and wish the Kanohi wasn't disposed of so quickly. :shrugs:

Lastly, I vote "AYE" on Articles 131-134. I find no reason to oppose any of them. ;)

  • P.S. I've said it before and I'll say it again, to the best of my knowledge
Article 133
has
nothing
whatsoever to do with the Epic

Article 131 - Aye, ive always liked the idea of this Mask.

Article 132 - Aye, Im sensing this will play a role in your recent epic.

First, let me vote.

I vote "AYE" to Articles 119a, 127-134. I believe that they add color to our Universe and have no reason to oppose them.

In response to Articles 129-130, I'd like to say that the only sub-species we have so far are the ones brought forth by Cap'n K. Now honestly, I consider the Meiu to be as different from the other Matoran as you'd consider the Nynrah Ghosts to be different; They are more adept and skilled in craftsmanship, but the Meiu care not for their own safety in their endevor, hence the accidental suicide of 2 of them. :P

For Article 130, GregF said that Time Travel wouldn't be done because of the fact that it would be a hard concept to explain to 9-year-olds, but I believe that most of our readers are people who would understand the story, especially since the Vahualsi is only ever used once.

Kohila-

You must realize, however, that the Nynrah Ghosts are just Matoran. They aren't a subspecies.

Hence why I had Toa_Åusår change the term to "faction". ;)

He intended for the prospective Meiu to be a Matoran "faction", not a "subspecies".

Thus, as you can see, the proposal has been amended accordingly, though he still hasn't answered your question about where the Temple in question is located.

Aye to all stated articles.

And for those who are unsure what to vote on Article 132, I can say that the Crystal Zlinj will play an important role in The Balance Reborn, and will have its powers revealed eventually.

119, 127, 128, 129, and 130: Aye. They all seem reasonable enough.

131: Undecided. I'll have to think about this one a little bit more. Aye.

132, 133, and 134: Aye. Again, none of these seem to far 'out there'.

Article 119a- Aye.

Article 127- Aye. It's good to have some more positions filled.

Article 128- Aye. I have quite a few charecter developments in store for Gahnges :sly:

Article 129- Aye. I see no reason to oppose it.

Article 130- I'm gonna remain Undecided at this point. (Closes eyes for a brief moment) Time travel is really strectching in for me. Also, it depends on how it was used before being destroyed, and what the being did in the future/past. Aye.

Article 131- Aye, it's manifested itself already in a few of the CIRCLE members'*cough Ausar and Ballom cough* epics.

Article 132- Aye, same reason as above.

Article 133- Aye.

Article 134- Aye. It's already appeared in Ballom's epic.

Well, I guess that now's the best time to reveal my original story arc for The Ouir Nui Trilogy.

After the three Time Crystals were collected by the Toa Terax
(who ultimately re-opened the Choaus Nui - Yezo Nui Sea Gate)
, they combined them with the rediscovered Kanohi Great Kualsi, which was originally worn by Toa Sāh Metu. Now, at this point in time, Vrail had successfully defeated and destroyed Makuta Tarel. However, since he was the wearer of the Kanohi Great Krahkaan and highly respected by the neighboring Makuta, said Makuta put Vrail on their blacklist, ready to kill him through destruction of the Isle of Ouir Nui. Now, the original intent of the Kanohi Vahualsi was to recover it and eventually hide/destroy it to keep the other Makuta from assembling it and using it. However, Vrail saw this as an opportunity to protect his loved ones, so he uses the Kanohi to go way back in time; Toa Terax Vayho wanted to come along as well. Before doing so, however, Turaga Uoas Kulia reveals who Turaga Uoas Thaios and herself really are-- Vrail and Vayho. Astounded at the revelation, they begin questioning her about things, but she simply activates the Kanohi and sends them back in time, then opening another time rift and tossing the Vahualsi in it, lost in the cosmos of the Fourth Dimension. All of this was observed by a Makuta
(Who was collecting the Krahkaan for his Lord, Makuta Teridax)
who reported these to the Brotherhood, but was quickly dismissed as insanity.

I hope that this clears things up for everyone and please do reconsider your votes. :begging:

Now that I've had some time to think about it, the fact that the prospective Vahualsi wasn't certainly destroyed as suggested, actually pushes me towards changing my vote on Article 130, but I'd like to find out more about this first. ;)

Article 119- AYE, i wont be sending a response to the makuta letter because of limited computer acess, and i have nothing to add to it.

Article 127- AYE

Article 128- AYE, seems reasonable

Article 129- AYE

Article 130- AYE, so long as it was only used once, had no major influence in the timeline, and was destroyed soon after it seems alright.

Article 131- AYE, the mask seems very powerful, but since its one of a kind and requires great concentration, it balances out..

Article 132- AYE, although some explanation may be needed

Article 133- AYE

Article 134- AYE, sounds interesting..

-----

Kind of off topic, but i will be away from computer acess until the 21st of July due to a surprise vacation my father has planned. I appologise and will be back as soon as i can with my proposals.

The domain assignments where handed down by Miserix himself before he was usurped. ;)

Also, from now on I'd really like to see all members' ballots include the actual article numbers for any given vote.

119a- AYE. Hmm... Now that makes alot more sense.

127- AYE. Sounds fine.

128- AYE. Sounds realistic enough.

129- AYE. As long as we're talking about the Great Temple on Metru-Nui.

130- AYE. I like the possibilities presented with this.

131- AYE. If it's already featured in an epic I don't see much reason to deny it.

132- AYE. It seems like an interesting plot addition.

133- AYE. I don't really care about language additions and whatnot.

134- AYE. No comment.
