You could just do as I do and train it anyway, swapping it out as necessary. I have about 14 Level 100s sitting around, for instance, and I swap different ones in if needed.

I have an entire box of Pokemon with awesome natures and movesets that I plan to train to level 100 when I have the time. : D

Personally, for a tank I recommend Shuckle.

There's its 2x Water and Steel weakess... but that's about it. =DD

It also happens to have the highest DEfense and Special Defense stats anywhere.

neither Shuckle or Miltank are great but Miltank is better
