It takes all of two freaking seconds to type the other two letters, if not even that. And it makes you look stupid when you just type a u, it makes you look like you don't know what you're doing so you're trying to shorten words in a vain effort to seem cool, hip and knowledgeable.

It's kind of like when people type "kewl" when typing "cool" takes the exact same amount of letters and even less time....

Oh god, the very thought of that *ahem* alternate spelling makes me sick.

I know a couple of people on another website that post "kewl" instead of "cool" on a regular basis. It makes me cringe.
