Voting For C. I. R. C. L. E. Articles 184-195

Confederated Inter-Related Collaborative League of Epics

Once again I'd like to welcome everyone, now straight to more business.

The one-hundred-eighty-fourth article proposed by Iro is as follows:

Iro hereby proposes that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" there exist Kanohi known as Czevch (ZEVK), the Great Mask of Chain Reaction, which grant the user the ability to plan out the end result of a sequence of events, then implement this desire, and due to a chain reaction, it will occur, provided the outcome was within reason. Furthermore, any given Kanohi Czevch can only be used once, and only once, before becoming Powerless.

For example, if a user wished to move a boulder that was too large to do so under the user's own power, they could use the Kanohi Czevch to initiate a series of events that would, in the end, somehow move the boulder. It must be noted however the user cannot control when or how the necessary sequence of events will occur, only that they will result in the desired conclusion.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY" with an explanation.

The one-hundred-eighty-fifth article proposed by Iro is as follows:

Iro hereby proposes that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" there exist Kanohi known as Eniden (EHN-ih-dehn), the Great Mask of Knowledge, which permit the user to scan and analyze objects or entities within their field of vision, in order to gain information about them. The analysis time is directly dependant upon specifically what the user wishes to learn, as well as how much the user wishes to learn about the target being scanned.

For example, should a user encounter a mysterious substance, they could use the Kanohi Eniden to scan the material, and then the mask would transfer the newly discovered information to the wearer.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY" with an explanation.

The one-hundred-eighty-sixth article proposed by Makar is as follows:

Makar hereby proposes that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" there exists a one-of-a-kind Kanohi known as the Marat (MAHR-raht), Great Mask of Will Altering, which allows the user to alter the will of both inanimate objects, as well as living things, including sapient species, creatures, and plants. The mask can also change the will of weather patterns, as well as the will of land to retain a certain shape, however only a user of extremely powerful will themselves can accomplish such things. The Marat cannot alter the will of time, destiny, solar cycles, or lunar cycles.

For example, if a rock has the will to remain in a certain shape, the Marat can alter this will, so that the stone can establish a new shape, however the object does not become animate. On the other hand, if a Matoran has the will to attack another villager, the Marat can be utilized to alter this will in such a way as to convince the Matoran to do whatever it is that the user wants them to do. The Kanohi Marat, however, cannot be used to alter neither a living creature's will to live nor their will to retain a certain shape, though it can influence a tree's will to stay in a certain place.

This lone Kanohi Marat was forged by the Maker Doroga, who wore it himself for a period of time, before he realized that it was simply too powerful and therefore chose to cloister it away on an uninhabited Southern Islet to keep it from others who would misuse the power. Doroga named the islet "Marat Nui" (MAHR-raht NOO-ee) in honor of the hidden mask and populated this new land with Matoran. He also left five Toa Stones behind for Matoran that would become the protectors of the Marat to find when their services were needed.

Furthermore, all members of "The C.I.R.C.L.E." agree that at no time will they create or utilize a character that bears a Kanohi Marat in their future storylines, aside from the characters within the lone Kanohi Marat's specific tale, without first discussing it within "The C.I.R.C.L.E." and once again bringing this issue to a vote.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY" with an explanation.

The one-hundred-eighty-seventh article proposed by Makar is as follows:

Makar hereby proposes that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" there exist Kanohi known as Plicate (PLIGH-kayt), the Great Mask of Replication, which grant the user the ability to replicate an exact, powerless copy of any mask or inanimate object. Furthermore, the mask can duplicate the appearance of living matter in order to create a false corpse.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY" with an explanation.

The one-hundred-eighty-eighth article proposed by Iro is as follows:

Iro hereby proposes that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" there exist Kanohi known as Quarar (KAHR-ahr), the Great Mask of Imitation, which permit the user to summon a vezon of a nearby being to serve them.

For example, if a user were being double teamed by two opponents in a battle, they the could use the Kanohi Quarar to replicate one of their opponents to fight alongside them provided their level concentration could adequately be maintained. Furthermore, this mask power takes a very strong will to maintain the copy that conjuring more than one vezon at a time is near impossible.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY" with an explanation.

The one-hundred-eighty-ninth article proposed by Iro is as follows:

Iro hereby proposes that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" there exist Kanohi known as Rakha (RAHK-uh), the Great Mask of Property, which allow the user to alter individual aspects of their physical characteristics in order to better suit their environment.

For example, if a user found themselves in an aquatic environment, then they could use the Kanohi Rakha to temporarily gain gills so that they could breath underwater.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY" with an explanation.

The one-hundred-ninetieth article proposed by Iro is as follows:

Iro hereby proposes that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" there exist Kanohi known as Tryvehk (TRIGH-veck), the Great Mask of Reflection, which grant the user the ability to create a specific type of force shield that protects them from an opponent's attack and then deflects the attack back at it's source, causing the attacker to be hit with an equal amount of force.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY" with an explanation.

The one-hundred-ninety-first article proposed by Iro is as follows:

Iro hereby proposes that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" there exist Kanohi known as Unri (OON-ree), the Great Mask of Reactivity, which permit the user to change the properties of nearby objects, making them more or less reactive to their surroundings.

For example, if a user encountered a ProtoSteel door that could not be brought down, they could simply use the Kanohi Unri to change the reactivity of a portion of the door, making it highly reactive to air, and that section would therefore explode as a result.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY" with an explanation.

The one-hundred-ninety-second article proposed by Iro is as follows:

Iro hereby proposes that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" there exist Kanohi known as Verdaren (ver-DAHR-ehn), the Great Mask of Photosynthesis, which allow the user to change their normal life processes to those of a plant.

For example, if a user were to be severely weakened, then they could simply use the Kanohi Verdaren and stand in the sunlight performing photosynthesis to replenish their lost physical energy reserves.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY" with an explanation.

The one-hundred-ninety-third article proposed by Iro is as follows:

Iro hereby proposes that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" there exist Kanohi known as Vykron (VIGH-krahn), the Great Mask of Perspective, which grant the user the ability to alter a nearby target's line of sight by sharing their own first person view of things.

For example, if a user were to spot another being while on lookout, then they could use the Kanohi Vykron to allow another specific non-user to see literally with their own eyes what the user sees.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY" with an explanation.

The one-hundred-ninety-fourth article proposed by Iro is as follows:

Iro hereby proposes that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" there exist Kanohi known as Xygus (ZEE-guss), the Great Mask of Negation, which permit the user to negate certain processes, aspects, and forces for a brief period of time. However, this mask does have its' restrictions, such as the fact that it can only affect processes within a half-bio radius. Furthermore, it cannot negate vital life processes, however it can prevent a target's photoreceptors or audioreceptors from working properly.

For example, if a user found they had no way to propel themselves upward, they could use the Kanohi Xygus to negate gravity and drift upwards.

Toa would not typically wear this mask, as they feel its' power is immoral.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY" with an explanation.

The one-hundred-ninety-fifth article proposed by Iro is as follows:

Iro hereby proposes that within "The C.I.R.C.L.E. Universe" there exist Kanohi known as Yyter (IGH-ih-tehr), the Great Mask of Matter State, which allow the user to change the state of matter of any object that they are in physical contact with. The user can choose between the states of solid, liquid, gas, or plasma, although they cannot control the altered substance like they could a normal substance of that element.

For example, if a user were in chains, then they could use the Kanohi Yyter to turn the solid chains into a liquid or gaseous metal in order to escape.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY" with an explanation.

And with that said, I open this thread up for discussion on the various articles for the proposed enhancement of our group structure and joint storyline.

Please be sure to vote on all twelve articles in this thread.

Also, note that this discussion and the corresponding voting will end at 2000 PDT (8:00 PM in the Pacific Time Zone) on Monday, January 25th, 2010 provided at least 2/3 of C.I.R.C.L.E. members have voted at that point.

Lastly, the C.I.R.C.L.E. members will be notified of the results via the C.I.R.C.L.E. Results Overview & Discussion thread, however, when there are other blog threads where authors can vote on the proposals surrounding the details of C.I.R.C.L.E., that communication will still happen via PM.

Thanks.

184- UNDECIDED, leaning toward NAY. Something doesn't feel right about this Kanohi, and the fact it can be used once. Impress me, Iro, and I'll think about leaning toward AYE. NAY. The idea of Kanohi, unless Legendary, being used once, doesn't seem right.

185- AYE. This sounds much like the power I gave to the Tur-Matoran.

186- NAY. Too much like a Mask of Creation, for one. Secondly, Bending the will of Matoran and bending metals are very different, and, if anything, the Mind-Control one can be achieved by using a Matatu. As for the metal, a Kanohi of Iron/Protodermis or something along those lines would work.

187- AYE. Although, I have a question- How many corpses can it make? Can one Toa make a fake army?

188- UNDECIDED. NAY. On grounds stated by Zorrakh

189- UNDECIDED, leaning slightly toward AYE. This sounds a bit like a Faxon, but different. Can I ask for a bit more elaboration? NAY. On grounds stated by Koji.

190- AYE.

191- AYE. This is very creative.

192- AYE.

193- AYE. This would also be used well on Makuta...

194- UNDECIDED. NAY. It just doesn't make sense, or grip anything in my mind.

195- AYE.

184-Aye, I like it. It's not overly powered, and it will work, just timing is the issue. Good balance of power.

185-Aye, seems like a good idea. Could also be a very good Kanohi for strategic combat.

186-Aye, sure. Why not? Good idea, and with only one, it won't be too powerful an idea.

187-Aye, seems like it could be a useful tool for spying or assassination (corpse), or things like that. Tactical.

188-Aye, I really like this one. It feels...classic, for some reason. Like something that you'd have seen on Mata-Nui.

189-I have to say Nay, it seems like it could become too powerful. Now, if there were side-effects from it, I'd go for it. But as it is, no.

190-Again, I have to say Nay, without backlash on the user, it seems like it could become too powerful.

191-Undecided, I have to ask, does the user need knowledge of how more/less radioactive something needs to be? Or does it just occur as needed, without specifics from the user? Aye.

192-Aye, no problems with it.

193-Aye, distortion. Nice. Reminds me of Shinji's Shikai in Bleach, in the way of distorting the enemy's views.

194-Aye. Balance of power, very good. I think all Kanohi need this in some form.

195-Aye, but wouldn't making steel into gas be poisonous to breath in? Or don't MU inhabitants breath like that? What's C.I.R.C.L.E.'s stand on the life processes?

184: Aye. Frankly, I think that this is one of my more creative ideas for a mask, if not a more powerful one. My reasoning behind the one use only bit is that I thought it a bit too powerful at first. It also means that the bearer must be wise in the use of the mask if they wished to use it to its full potential.

185: Aye. It's practically Iro's trademark mask.

186: Aye.

187: Aye.

188: Aye.

189: Aye. Last I checked, the Faxon could only mimic powers of Rahi, while this actually changes the wearer's physical attributes (the growing of gills).

190: Aye. Probably should have mentioned the fact that it can't reflect, like, a Nova Blast or something along the lines of that. I'd say that a Nova Blast could even shatter the shield made by a Great Tyvehk.

191: Nay. Power limitations/restrictions aren't really set at all, so I think I may revise these so that the limits and the like are explained.

192: Aye.

193: Aye.

194: Nay. Power limitations/restrictions aren't really set at all, so I think I may revise these so that the limits and the like are explained.

195: Aye. (@ Sir Koji): Well, the user has a choice to liquefy or vaporize the metal. If it's going to end up being a poisonous gas to breathe, it'd simply be smarter to have it turn into a liquid, then make their escape.

184-Nay on the grounds stated by Zorahk.

185-Aye, no reason to oppose.

186-Nay, the powers are too different.

187-Aye, seems useful.

188-Aye, seems useful.

189-Nay, seems like the canon mask of Adaption.

Adaptation: Physically alters the user to adapt to surroundings, including combat situations.*
Quoted from BS01.

190-Nay, on the grounds stated by Koji.

191-Nay, on the grounds stated by Koji.

192-Aye, seems useful.

184 - I change my vote to Nay, because of others reasoning and that it seems to much like the mask of possibilities.

185 - Aye! This actually sounds really cool. A Toa that would wear this mask would be good for recon missions. =)

186 - Aye, this is really important to my series.

187 - Aye. The mask only creates powerless copies, it cannot clone life.

188 - Aye, it seems unnecessary, but doesn't really effect anything or seem too powerful.

189 - Aye, another cool mask idea. Could be very useful.

190 - Nay, it seems to be too much of a luxury as a mask. A Kanohi Hau could practically do the same thing.

191 - Nay, it seems too powerful.

192 - Aye, it doesn't seem too powerful.

193 - Aye, interesting. I would be rather annoyed if that happened while I was fighting someone xD.

194 - Aye, sounds alright. With it's restrictions, it's not too powerful.

195 - Nay, seems to be too powerful.

187- AYE. Although, I have a question- How many corpses can it make? Can one Toa make a fake army?

Well it could make the bodies, but they'd need something to make them move. I suppose a Toa wearing a mask of Telekinesis could accomplish this.

186-Nay, the powers are too different. And it seems too powerful.

The only reason they're similar is because they can force the creature or object to do whatever they want, hence the name Will Bending. I hope that makes sense.

Link to comment

Article 184: I'm going to have to vote Nay; it's an interesting idea but just too impractical.

Article 185: Aye, I like the idea; reminds me of the scan visor from the Metroid Prime series.

Article 186: Nay, Will Bending might work as a mask power by itself (I see it as separate from Mind Control in that this changes the target's will rather than just controlling his mind, essentially meaning the target believes those actions were his own idea), but I don't like the added "material bending" power as it seems too unrelated. Going to change my vote to Aye now that the article has been revised, as it does make more sense. I'm kind of averse to the terminology, since inanimate objects don't have a will to stay in their current state - that's more of just a basic principle of physics - but in a science fantasy world like Bionicle, I think it can pass. Besides that, it seems critical to Makar's writing.

Articles 187-188: Aye, no problem with either of these.

Article 189: Nay, this is basically the Mask of Adaptation which already exists in canon, as Zahaku pointed out.

Article 190: Undecided; I would approve it if there were limits on the kinds of attacks it can reflect (for example, only energy attacks with a range and scale proportionate to the size of the wearer). Nay - I would approve of the limits specified by Iro in Comment #22, but without these actually being in the article I can't approve it.

Article 191: Undecided; this mask could be extremely overpowered as it seems you could pretty much make anything explode with minimal effort. Are there any limits? As no limits were ever specified, I'm forced to vote Nay.

Articles 192-195: Aye, I have nothing in particular against any of these.

Link to comment

184: Aye it is an interesting Mask Power

185: Sounds like Samus's Scan visor from Metroid Prime. Aye

186: Nay, If this mask could just bend the will of a Rahi, or any other being then it would be aye, however you can;t bend an inanimate objects will, plus it has the same power as Artakha's mask.

187: Aye, an interesting power

188: Aye

189: Nay, Zahaku has a good point.

190: Nay on grounds stated by Koji

191: Nay Undecided, I really just don't like the sounds of that mask power

192: Aye, thats a cool power

193: Aye

194: Nay, it sounds like it can manipulate anything which seems to powerful, However I am willing to change my vote to Aye if this mask can negate only a being. For example their audio and phot receptors

195: Nay, on grounds stated by Makar

Article 184- NAY, as it can only be used once. However, I would vote aye if that were changed to taking a large amount of energy to use.

Article 185- Aye.

Article 186- Aye.

Article 187- Aye. Making corpses would be really, really fun :D

Article 188- Aye. Sounds like a power from this game I once played. Nice use of the word "Vezon", btw.

Article 189- Nay. Mask of Adaption with a new name.

Article 190- Nay. I like reflecting it back part, but it just seems too much like a Hau.

Article 191- Aye. I'd make hydrogen reactive with oxygen. Water bomb.

Article 192- Aye. I've always wanted to be like an Ent from Lord of the Rings.

Article 193- Aye.

Article 194- Aye. Sounds pretty legit.

Article 195- Aye.

Article 186: Aye, very interesting..

Article 187: Aye, I like it a lot.

Article 188:Aye, also very interesting.

Article 189: Aye, seems like it could get a little out of hand though.

Article 190: Aye, very nice.

Article 191: Aye, so long as it’s only inorganic.

Article 192: Nay, I just don’t like the idea of temporary self mutation

Article 193: Aye, very nice.

Article 194: Aye, awesome..

Article 195: Nay, a bit too powerful.

Nay to Article 184. If I'm understanding this correctly, then it seems best to use the Mask of Possibilities, since it's along the same lines and is already Canon.

Aye to Article 185. I like it. Metroid, anyone? :P

EDIT: Aye to Article 186. I now have no problem with this article.

Aye to Article 187. It seems fine to me.

Nay to Article 188. I think that the user won't be able to fight because they need to concentrate on the copy.

EDIT: Nay to Article 189. As other people have said, it is a bit too similar to the Kanohi Faxon.

Nay to Article 190. It seems a bit too powerful, especially if it can deflect mental attacks.

Nay to Article 191. It seems a bit too powerful.

Aye to Article 192. I see no problem with it.

Aye to Article 193. I see no problem with it.

Aye to Article 194. However, I think that it should not be able to effect beings, as one could use a Shelek. If that part were added in, it would be perfectly fine with me, but I'll vote aye.

Nay to Article 195. It seems too powerful to me.

I vote "NAY" on Article 184. I don't like the obscure single-use clause, furthermore I agree with the reasoning provided by Zorrakh.

Next, I vote "AYE" on Article 185, as I see no reason to oppose it.

I'm torn on Article 186 because I know it's vital to Makar 's Epic Series, but at this time I have to vote "NAY". I have no problem with either power individually, I just find pairing them together under the umbrella of "will", totally impossible in my mind.

Meanwhile, I vote "AYE" on Article 187, as I see no reason to oppose it.

I "NAY" on Articles 188 & 189. The former vote is based upon the reasoning outlined by Zorrakh, meanwhile the latter is supported by the information provided by Zahaku.

On the other hand, I hereby "VETO" Article 190 on the grounds stated by Auserv, i.e. due to lack of an adequate explanation of the range of the capabilities, as well as the absence of any drawbacks to such an advantageous mask power.

I vote "NAY" on Article 191 based upon the reasoning outlined by Iro.

Now, I vote "AYE" on Article 192, though I'd like to point out that this mask does nothing to replenish depleted Toa Power or Elemental Power stores.

And I also vote "AYE" on Article 193, as I see no reason to oppose it.

Furthermore, I hereby "VETO" Article 194, again on the grounds stated by Iro, i.e. due to lack of an adequate explanation of the range of the capabilities, as well as the absence of any drawbacks to such an advantageous mask power.

Lastly, I hereby "VETO" on Article 195 as well, because it needs a stipulation that it can't be used on living specimens.

The one-hundred-ninety-fourth article "NAY" I agree with what Ausar said. A mask like that should have some drawbacks or the user is at an advantage.

NAY to Article 184: Is this supposed to be like a genie-type wish granting power? It'll grant you whatever you say you want, exactly how you say it, whether you like it or not, despite the consequences. For example, a Toa uses it to stop Rahi stampeding through a village, but the mask brings down the cliff walls that surrounded the village, burying both the Rahi and the village in a rockslide. But the Rahi did stop stampeding. I'd be in support of it if it was like that, with or without a use limit.

AYE to Article 185: If I understand this correctly, the Eniden user would need to be someone highly skilled in deduction, reasoning, and interegation in order to take full advantage of the mask power. A Sherlock Holmes of the BIONICLE universe.

NAY to Article 186: If one really got down to the basics, the powers of the Marat is no different from Mind Control or Telekinesis. However, I dislike how it is supposed to work, altering someone's free will is not something I can support. And for the record, the Mask of Creation and the Marat are completey different.

AYE to Article 187: Leaning towards AYE. Change the name to Replication, Cloning sounds like it can create copies of living beings.

NAY on Article 188: I still like the power, do you think it would make sense to have the "vezon" be capable of independent thought, while completely subservient to the Quarar user's will? Leaning towards AYE. Change the name to Cloning, Imitation makes it sound like the user can Shape-Shift into a vezon.

NAY to Article 189: There already is a Canon Mask capable of the same thing. Now, if you're wanting to say the name for the Mask of Adaptation is Rakha, I could go for that.

AYE to Article 190: If I may make a suggestion though, have it be so the only forces reflected are forces the user is aware of, instead of trying to give it a power limit. Not that anyone's going to live through a full Nova Blast anyway.

NAY to Article 191: It's not that I'm against the power, I'm against the understanding of the power. The metals like sodium and calcium can explode when exposed to water, but the metals like iron just rust. If you're wanting explosives, try for a Mask of Transmutation.

AYE to Article 192: A little impractical, but whatever works.

AYE to Article 193: Seems useful.

NAY to Article 194: I'd like some more specifics about what it can negate before I decide.

AYE to Article 195: Though I would like to point out that plasma as a state of matter is a substance hot enough to be a gas or liquid, but under enough pressure to keep it from doing so. Like the Earth's core. I'm not sure how useful that would be to the Yyter user. And could someone please tell how it's over powered? I mean, the user has to be touching his or her target in order for the mask power to be effective. Any more limitations and the mask would be nearly powerless.

UNDECIDED on Article 184: Is this supposed to be like a genie-type wish granting power? It'll grant you whatever you say you want, exactly how you say it, whether you like it or not, despite the consequences. I agree that this power would best be "genie-like" despite the consequences, however I'm really opposed to a Great Mask becoming Powerless after a single-use only. Now if it simply became useless to a particular individual yet remained powered for someone els... :sly:

I see the comparison to the Komau, however I have a hard time seeing what a Matatu has to do with this discussion? Telekinesis cannot reshape an object, it can merely move it. Also, I am not opposed to altering free will here, it's not like all mask powers need to be of noble intention, it's just that I know that inanimate objects do not retain shape due to will, they have no will, they're not sapient, rather it's simply chemistry and physics that dictates those types of things.

You've Convinced Makar to rename the prospective Plicate, which frees up the term "Cloning" for use by Iro here on the prospective Quarar. ;)

Precisely why I'm leaning towards a "VETO". :shrugs:

I'm not saying that it's too powerful, just that it's power ignores repercussions like how hot liquid steel would be on an escapee's arm. :P

You have to think of an inanimate's will in an abstract way. An inanimate objects will is what made to be like, so similar to it's purpose. You could say that a rock's purpose is to stay in a certain shape. Or a piece of wood's purpose is to be a certain length. You have to think of it in a philosophical way.

Yes it has the power to alter free will, but there's only one of them and it is always heavily protected. It could also be considered purpose altering, but purpose is a synonym of will.

My thoughts exactly.

The theory is that a Telekinetic could reshape an object by moving the object's individual molecules, but that would require immense control and concentration.

I must admit that Kanohi powers don't have to be noble or rightous, but I would like them to be able to be resisted or limited in some way. ;) And I do agree with you about inanimate objects lacking will. I don't think a mask power should have such broad effects based on a philisophical view point, some ideas are just too abstract to be a sound mask power.

And my vote as been changed accordingly.

I'm more curious if it merely changes the viscosity of the substance to that of a different state of matter without changing the substance's temperature or if it actually heats or cools the substance to change it. I'm hoping for the first.

It is something like that, yes. Again, the user controls that an event shall happen, but how is another matter entirely. For example (I'm going to use a human analogy here), a Czevch user wanted a certain football team to win a game in hopes that it would make it to the Superbowl. Well, the Czevch would allow that team to win, but (this is what tends to happen with the mask), they lose the next game and don't make it. Of course, people would tend to use it for more extreme situations, and its power could either greatly assist them or make things even worse. That's why I want it to be a one-use-only mask; its power is too risky to use more than once per user. I'd assume there is some method to recharge it, but I have never needed a being to recharge their Kanohi Czevch before.

UNDECIDED on Article 188: Leaning towards AYE. Change the name to Cloning, Imitation makes it sound like the user can Shape-Shift into a vezon.

"Cloning" does not really sound all too appealing to me. Does "Simulation" sound a bit better?

---

Article 190: Undecided; I would approve it if there were limits on the kinds of attacks it can reflect (for example, only energy attacks with a range and scale proportionate to the size of the wearer).

It can reflect attacks that aren't too high in energy (a bolt of flame or a bolt of lightning, for example), and then projectiles can also be reflected (as in bullets, rocks, things that can be thrown/shot). Unlike the Hau, this also protects from ambush, but again, only if it's a projectile or a weaker energy.

It's been a while since I've made use of either of these masks, so I have a hard time remembering what I was thinking at the time. Now that I look over the articles, I can see that I really didn't set any specifics for either, and I really don't use them enough to know their full limitations. I think I may have to change my own votes to "NAY" until I can set up some better restrictions/limitations.

---

Lastly, I vote "NAY" on Article 195 as well, again due to an immensely powerful capacity with no indicated repercussions

It doesn't seem to be too powerful to me. It can't affect organic systems, nor can it affect things that are not within sight or that the user is not in physical contact with. Now, while using Earth logic, its power would just superheat it until it changed state, but this isn't Earth, to tell the truth, and it can force the molecules of an object to go through some other process in order to change the state. But, to tell the truth, I'm mainly writing a science fiction/fantasy story, and I don't exactly go into detail of how the process the Yyter uses works, simply that it does.

I think I have covered most issues here, but please feel free to ask any more questions.

Article 184: "Nay" This is a useless mask, only one use? Not to mention controlling the outcome of something is a power none should wield.

Article 185: "Aye" An encyclopedia mask? I love any resource for information, and a mask that does so will always be welcome with me. After all, knowledge is the greatest weapon any man can behold.

Article 186: "Nay" Being able to alter the will of anything is the ability to control reality as it is, so this mask would be truly to powerful.

Article 187 and 188: "Nay" They are to similar, combine the two, and I'll give my Aye.

Article 189 and 190: "Aye" I'd prefer a different name, such as Adaptability for the first, but these work just fine.

Article 191: "Nay" This is basically a compilation of a few other Mask powers. So I see no reason why a Jutlin or some other Kanohi wouldn't the trick.

Article 192: "Aye" A lot of regeneration masks out there, but this one is particularly useful in my eyes.

Article 193: "Aye" I aboslutley love the concept of this mask. Imagine a Sniper actually seeing his assailant firing a fatal shot to his forehead.

Article 194: "Aye" A little to similiar to the Mask of Time for my tastes, but I'll let it pass.

Article 195: "Aye" I might even make use of this.

The way you describe it makes it sound more like a variation of the Mask of Possibilities and if that's the case, my vote will be NAY.

Not really. The mask power allows the user to create a duplicate of another person. A simulation would be a false duplicate, more like a hologram or an illusion. By the article's wording, I would assume the duplicate would have the same powers and abilities as the original. Cloning is a far more accurate term.

So, the chains in the example would simply become a liquid or a gas, without the reprecussions of the user getting burned.
