Bionicle - Year One - Music

Thanks for all the links here guys. I appreciate it.

Anyway, the game will need some music: what is a game without music?

I'm planning on using soundtracks from Planetperson's awesome "MNOLG Soundtrack" that he put up for download a while back. This will increase the nostalgia factor as well as linking it to the awesome MNOLG.

For the main game menu, who else thinks a remixed, more awesome revamp of "The Bionicle Music" from the Powerpack would be good? Optimally, it will include more (and clearer) vocals, more guitar riffs, and some piano thrown in. I'm working on that right now in the GarageBand application, but it's difficult to get.

Really? I think it'd really set the tone, seeing as it's, well, The Bionicle Music.

I definitely will include Lewa Vs. Onua, and I will use the remix there. It wouldn't be 2001 without it.

It could work as a menu theme, but I think you should make two remixes of it. One calmer for the menu, and the awesome remix you thought of first for the battle.

Wouldn´t it be nice to have another track, composed only for the game - as in, not a remix of any existing music - , which can be used as the opening/ending theme throughout all the games?

I think the Bionicle Music remix would work well for that. :)

Sure, but it wouldn´t be Ours. What I was thinking was an entirely new theme song - I´m sure some of your composers could do that. :)

I mean, imagine having a song that, whenever hearing it, would make people think of these games. Something that they´d go around whistling for the rest of the day. ;)

I can do vocals. If you have Singstar: Pop Hits on PS2 and tried Bring Me To Life, I can sing the last line without a breath.

Well, I play guitar, and I was wondering if I could help out? Like, background music during the stages or somethin'. Improv, maybe?

EDIT: Oh my gosh, sorry about the topic revival!

It's fine. There is no revival in the Blogs. :)

Background music is a part of games that is really underemphasized. As long as it's not too annoying and we can still hear the characters, just about anything should be fine.
