I always have my falls at first, but a while later, once I get my turns right and my legs bent at just the right places, I'm cruising and enjoying it.

And for the record, I absolutely love skiing, and will be doing so this weekend.

Naw, I used to ski until I was 8 or 9, then switched over to snowboarding when I took up skateboarding. You cannot comprehend the magnitude of snowboarding's power level.

When you're one of the best in your state at ski racing (in my age group), skiing is a whole lot better than snowboarding.

Reading that over it sounds a bit arrogant, doesn't it? Whatever.

I'd like to ski, but I live in Illinois where there's plenty of snow, but no hills. This state is flatter than a two-day-old Coca-Cola.

I too went skiing lately... although it is a 5 hour drive to banff it has to be the second best mountain in the area... the best is big white- though its another 5 hours farther.

I'm more prone to Snowbording, but I may try some Skiing once.

Went snowboarding for the first time last weekend. I woke up with matching bruises on the insides of my knees. That's how many times I fell on my knees.

But IMO boarding>skiing.
