Aoran Posted December 21, 2006 *Nods* Shame that it's popularity>quality nowadays... It's no wonder that if someone famous made say, a 'worm' composing of a 2 + connector and four half circley things, it's highly likely that they'd win :/ But as sad as it may be, it's life, and we just have to deal with it. Oh, but it'd be soooo cute. It really is a shame though. Quote Link to comment
Arpy Posted December 21, 2006 I assume you are thinking primarily of the infamously famous Fikou Stocking Stuffer? Arpy Quote Link to comment
Mana Leader: Toa of Pure Evil Posted December 21, 2006 That'd be so sad, And the only Worm I would make would be THIS (Kamen Rider Kabuto refferences) EDIT: Hind sight 20/20 I should have made one of those, Quote Link to comment
-SZ- Posted December 21, 2006 Don't blame me, I haven't voted for Mikey's in any of the polls, and if he makes it to the finals I still won't vote for him. No disrespect to Mikerahk, he's done a lot to get to this point, and that's why he's famous. And I dare say, if I had entered this contest I would've done the same thing. I would've made a joke MOC for two reasons: 1. I was really dissapointed with the theme. I mean, after all this time we waited, the best theme they can think up is a color restriction theme? We've already had one of those. So, in my view point and most likely in my view point only, this contest doesn't deserve a real MOC. 2. I don't have many red and green pieces. Mikerahk's a good MOCist, but that doesn't mean you have to vote for it. But it also doesn't mean you don't have to vote for it. There's a little something called "freedom of speech". You can vote for whoever (whomever?) you want to, you don't have to have a famous MOCist tell you which is the best MOC, you can decide that for yourself. So in other words make the choice yourself, don't listen to the newest fads, or the greater MOCist, or any other thing. Decide for yourself, that's the way it should be. Yup, I'm ranting. There have been recurring themes before. Also, the colour restriction also ruled out many handy connecting pieces. Though they exist (mostly in red), I lacked most of the small pieces I use in other contests and still managed to make something halfway decent. Colour restrictions can be challenging. GMan Posted December 21, 2006 See, this is quite the reason I never vote...... Tsk tsk tsk, there could have been better... I remember some very creative BBCs before this... Maybe it's just all the noobs with their pathetic entries that did it, but either way I don't care for BBC 39. Quote Link to comment
The Phyre of Tahu Posted December 22, 2006 I vote for friends, and really cool looking MOCs. I also want the BioniWreath to win because it's the only thing that's really got holiday spirit. I also voted for Mikerahk's MOC, just because it was funny. But I didn't vote for it in the semis, just the prelims. I think I'll put that banner in my sig. ~Phyre Quote Link to comment
Mikerahk Posted December 22, 2006 But isn't Schizo a more popular and famous mocer than me? I don't feel that this blog entry holds much water. Quote Link to comment
dviddy Posted December 22, 2006 But isn't Schizo a more popular and famous mocer than me? I don't feel that this blog entry holds much water. No. His name, for some reason, is less tied to MOCing than yours is. Also, his MOC was superior. Which is the whole point of the blog entry. Quote Link to comment
