How about a raffle where we stick voted members in a video spotlight and they tell us about how they feel about BNG?

But commentary... I could be main narrator (I keep running commentary through everything.), then a bunch of others could come in and talk about it.

Guys, I will just repeat what has been said before. You can download them and put it on a DVD, or if you have no computer room for a movie, ship a blank DVD to LK who'll put it on the DVD for you! Simple!

That's probably how it's going to work.

Don't worry, guys. You'll be able to download it for free. Compare this to the serials. Some people can't stand to sit at a computer screen and read a book and would much rather have a physical book in their hands. Some people prefer to watch movies on their TV rather than the computer. This will be free.

Again, as long as you take every precaution not to get in legal trouble, i am fine with whatever you do.

But be careful. I would not like to see this project go down the tubes because of some copyright infringement issues.

Me and Toa Lunekk brainstormed some ideas in PMs.

We are doing a B:NG meeting this summer at San Diego Comic-Con and we were thinking that we could film it to show some "behind-the-scenes" work.

A suggestion:

Some Starwars fans created a Starwars movie a few years back. They sold it in DVD format, for something like 20 USD. Did they get sued by LucasFilms? nope. Why? Simple, they had the movies downloadable for free...same quality and everything as on the DVD. The difference was, the DVD had about 5 hours of Bonus features on it, including all how they did things like the lightsabers and choreography. The people paid for the Bonus Features (which were not free) rather than the actual movie.

If you guys really want to sell it, get about 5 hours of Bonus features, and sell it that way. If the Bonus features are your own creation, and the stuff Lego can claim to own is still freely downloaded...then nobody's going to get in trouble.

Things I mean by Bonus Features that could be easily done:

You could have a concept art section (which, yes, was released before, but still)

"Story to Movie" - An indepth look at how the script was created

"Sets to Computers" - A look at how the characters were animated

"Casting for the Epic" - A look into how the cast was chosen.

"The Music for the Saga" - Interviews with the music team, and how they created their masterpieces for the films

"Sound Designing" - a ROCKin' look on how the sound was compiled and sound effects were added.

"Sixty Seconds" Take a certain 60 second clip and see what exactly happened from start to finish with that scene...

"From Start to Finish" A Documentary about the whole project from the first ideas to the finishing of the film.

"Animating with Blender" - a half hour program designed to get you animating your own films.

"Deleted Scenes"

"Actor Bloopers"

"Interviews with project Creators."

And a lot more.

Granted, this could turn into a huge project, but if you really wanted to sell it in DVD form, this might work, if you got a couple video-savy guys who aren't good animators to work on it and not really have a topic, so nothing could be shown.

Basically, there are going to be people off BZP (seeing it on numerous video-sharing websites), or people not in the thick of it here, who will see the film and go "Wow, I wish I could make a movie like that" and the bonus features would tell them just how.

Just to be sure, you should still check it out with Lego....

If anything, any profit would be donated to Lego (probably with a message asking to bring back Bionicle :P). But you do prove a point, Krakuaofsonics.

So I shouldn't have deleted the song bloopers? Aw, man, they were hilarious.

"I'm not-Oh dang, now I need a pee."

"Aaaah..." *Desperate scrolling up*

"This isn't my blublublublublublu"

Tounges go crazy at all the wrong moments.

Edit: Vezon minute! Why don't we all do crazy stuff, film it, and we can put it all together with random concept art and stuff! But there's a catch. You have to have a titan set/your first set while you're at it. So I would either have Kikinalo or Vhisola.

We can have life-size masks to cover our identities. But if we do release videos of us working, then I would have to change my username to Toa of Mullets :P

Oooh, Let me into the the concept art videos, where it all starts! (we're the most important, bow down to us! :P)

Just a thought about the whole *Send in a DVD/just Download it* thing. I think the best method would be to make the DVD itself and the place the iso - disc image file, that is, online. Those who want to send you a DVD can, and others can download the iso file and burn it as a disk. Then you can have all of those wonderful making of features and menus included.

Also, please include the trailers for the film on the DVD. :)

We could definately do that, but not everyone has access to a DVD-ROM(or whatever it's called) or in some cases even a computer. We can do that, but the "send in a DVD" will not be completely off the list for the people who don't have the required equipment.
