    Hello!

Rigth then, so this my BZP blog, whilst I have one,, and I'm goign to put it to use drumming up voice actors/support for an audio series that I am working on in my spare time. For the first episode, which is a pilot, there will be 5 voiced characters. So here is what it is all about. There are two Fire Matoran; a warrior and a normal villager, a Ce-matoran(this one is female), who is a hunter, and the Turaga of the fire village. Their names are Dolan, Atyran, Senah and Koln, respectively. There will also be a Narrator. Dolan is strict and uncompromising. Atyran is naiive and easily frightened. Senah is independent and reckless. Koln is stoic and conservative. The story is set in a cut off area of the southlands, where no one has ever heard of Toa and doens't know about Mata Nui, the Makuta or any of the usual plot. Through the aations of an unseen enemy, their world is slowly pulled back into contact with the MU (at about the time of Teridax's takeover). Later on there will be need of more characters, but I'm working on this as a pilot to start off with. All voice actors will be requested to use a free piece of software called Audacity to record thier lines (although you don't need thsi to audition) and Skype for voice recording sessions, so that they can play off eachother and recieve feedback. If you are at all interested in auditioning, then please pm me to ask for lines. You will then need to email a sound file of your audition to creators_16@hotmail.com. Otherwise, comments and questions can go here for the time being. Once the frst episode is done, I will create a topic in the Media Forum. Thanks everybody, I'm outty!
  2. 3/5 I know of you fairly well from BNG, but not actually that well.
  3. LEGO ALpha team was one of my favourite themes, behind Bionicle and RockRaiders. the PC game sold it for me alot, and I really enjoyed the first and second years. The third year, whilst techniaclly clever jsut wasn't as good somehow. But it was possibly the only lego theme with the whole james bond vs meglomaniac mad scientist - you can't beat that! EDIT: Yeh I forgot agents, same comment about the third year sets applies to them, technically wonderful but soemhow lacking.
  4. Right I'm planning on making an audio drama thingy, and was going to post up a topic soon to ask for voice actors. However, planning topics (which is basically what I'm making) are not allowed in the Music and Movies forum. In this case where should I post said topic? And would this apply to all planning topics?
  5. Just a thought about the whole *Send in a DVD/just Download it* thing. I think the best method would be to make the DVD itself and the place the iso - disc image file, that is, online. Those who want to send you a DVD can, and others can download the iso file and burn it as a disk. Then you can have all of those wonderful making of features and menus included. Also, please include the trailers for the film on the DVD.

Its probably a bit late to add this in, but I am going for animating mouths. I've already built one in to Taka, and if you're interested, it will be animated via a bone in the head, plus deformed with a method whose name I cannot remember, but I have a very good tutorial on the subject, and once its rigged, anyone will be able to use it easily. I can take it out if you like. Oh and other than that the mask is completely static - it just has a mouth hole which is filled by the mouth on the toa head behind it. @lewathetoa - Don't worry, as soon as Taka is rigged I'll send you the pose.

Ick! I'd like to do Dume, but that concept, whilst beautiful, is very complex, could you get the artist to make it a alittle mkore set style? taka should be done soon enough... just need to texture and rig really.

lewathetoa, I think that they may be able to start to trickle through. How about say...three characters? Oh and ElevenGuy - congratualtions on making Tahu! (or was it kopaka?) - I 'll check the movies for a good shot of the great temple, and maybe theres one on BS01.

Finally..TakaNuva is nearly done...he's taken forever. I still need to get the hands off D_O, and do texturing o'course, and theres one or two other details, but yeh.. this is pretty close to the final version. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Sukura/DM/tk8bk.jpg - back http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Sukura/DM/tk8ft.jpg - front I based the torso off the concept of DM Kopaka, since mine didn't include a view of the back (note to self, ask for these in future). I did try to model that ol' Toa torso, but failed miserably, so we have this. Oh and @ElevenGuy, why don't you try the Throne of Stone? I think that theres a wonderful concept of that somwhere.

EDIT: Although I don';t think the mask's powers are for us to decide, I'd go for Mask of Adaptation...sounds fun.

wow thats really great!, especially the colouring. Oh and DH554 - welcome to the team. I think there's some work around here somewhere, talk to Eeko (he's the group leader) if you have any problems/questions. and of course, we're all here to help.

I think i'm in between - set style for the most part, but one or two parts were just too complex to be created (for me atleast) so then I go for the concept art style(the DM toa are what I go off in addition to the concept I'm using atm). What i'm worried about is If we all go for different level of accuracy, the models will look odd and misplaced when next to eachother.

I think that it is still a small issue as to how set-based we are, if only there was someway to make it consistant....
