Just felt like making a random blog entry on Metallica.

I've been listening to them non-stop for the past 2 weeks or so, because they are awesome. I've even come to quite like "That Was Just Your life" and somewhat enjoy "My Apocalypse". I personally prefer the style of music on Load/Reload to the styles of their previous albums, but that's not to say I like those two albums better. I don't. They're good albums, but they don't have many memorable songs. There's many more songs I like from the older days, but if Load/Reload had been all songs to the same quality as "The Unforgiven II", or "King Nothing", then they would have definitely been my second and third favourite albums.

Though Death Magnetic still remains my favourite. All the songs on that album are great, and the style is a mix between the thrash guitar of their older days and the great singing of the Load era. The perfect balance. Luckily, they left the styles of St. Anger right out. So far, that album has been horrible. The only two tracks I like from it so far are 'St. Anger" (though it gets annoying quite quickly), and "The Unnamed Feeling". The sound of this album makes me cringe, literally. It's painful.

I haven't heard much from ...And Justice For All or Kill 'Em All, but I can't say I'm overly crazy about the latter, from what I've heard so far. "Seek And Destroy" is an ok song, but not amazing, and "The Four Horsemen" has an epic instrumental, but the singing kinda' ruins it for me. I also just discovered what "Ride The Lightning" was about. =P

So, with that said, my preference of albums is as follows:

1- Death Magnetic

2- Master Of Puppets

3- The Black Album

4- Reload

5- Ride The Lightning

6- Load

7- ...And Justice For All (6 and 7 are debatable, as I've only heard two songs from ...AJFA)

8- Kill 'Em All

9- Garage Inc.

10- St. Anger

So yeah. I know both Haru and Iro are gonna completely disagree with me.
