I hung out with my friend and this other kid yesterday. I didn't really know the guy - just that he was in my gym and technology classes - and that he's a "cool kid". I was a little worried about that, but he wasn't nasty like I expected; just a kid who makes the same dumb jokes and laughs at the same stupid stuff as us. So I was trying to figure out the difference...and the only difference between him and me is that (well, first, I don't act like I really am in real life, so maybe that's part of it), and also that he hangs out with deadheads and doesn't try in school. I just don't understand why that qualifies as cool - maybe because more people empathize with it? It just sucks that if you're even somewhat smart and do DECENT in school, then you get dissed for it. It's annoying...

But yes, I know how you feel. I don't do things that the cool people do because they just seem wrong to me - and people poke fun at you because of that.

ha, i get that all the time. don't worry, you'll be laughing when they're at mcdonald's are you're at harvard. or yale. or princeton. or all three.
