I've been tempted to buy pieces for a purple Ussal (or at least as many that exist). Now I might have ta go forward with that plan.

You know, I think it would be pretty funny to have some large ones in there as well. Not like Pewku, I mean, but enormous mocs. Just a couple big ones with hundreds of smaller ones everywhere else, all over the place.

When you say it like that, that could actually make the whole thing even funnier! I didn't think of this until after I made the entry, but I actually already have a moderately-sized crab MOC underway, just for Brickfair, quite unrelated to this. But it would go with this quite perfectly. And some super-giant crabs would be hilarious.

It would have been like two feet + and have strained ever fiber in my brain to the absolute limit. And I only have a head. And less than a month. So yeaaaaaaaah... I was kinda panicking then the guy managing it was like yanvmmaybenextyear. So that project is on hold. Akshully I think you were involved, weren't you?

Now to think up crab concepts... and finish Tempest... but she's too fragile to send, methinks.

All the more reason to ask if I can send stuff in, since I have a couple of Hahnah crabs and could probably whip up a couple more.

If I could mail one in, I probably would. But I can't, so I won't... I've just been inspired to build a crab, even if I can't send it in.

So you know how other cons have things where it's a space-ship "fly-in"? Why not call this "Crustacean Crawl-In"? Catchy, gives it a name, and it has alliteration.

Two years ago, BrickCon had a Battlestar Galactica "Viper" fly-in, where they had a ton of BSG spaceships in a landing deck. Landing Deck More photos

Also, at BrickWorld at least this year, and I think other cons coming up, a "Vic Viper" fly-in (though moreso in honor of the guy who started the fad's passing away) is being planned.

They are big community things where the MOCs absolutely take over one section of the theme area, much like what you have got going here. It sounds like we can probably have a few dozen tiny crabs, with a few big ones, and it would be pretty impressive for the AFOLs to see that community spirit (I don't think the really know BZP has people mail in MOCs), and the public would be impressed as well.
