... Can I Go To Ireland?

Toa of Dancing

I've always wanted to go there, even before I became friends with Brickeens. And I also want to learn to play the bagpipes, though that's Scotland, isn't it?

I guess I just want to go to Great Britain in general. Or wait, is Ireland part of Great Britain or not? And Brick, do you live in Ireland or North Ireland?

I want to go to England. :o

I think the United Kingdom refers to England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, while Great Britain refers to England, Scotland, and Wales (as in like The island).

I think. I could be wrong.

The United Kingdom comprises Northern Ireland, England, Scotland, and Wales. The Republic of Ireland is a separate country, though it shares the island of Ireland with NI. Great Britain refers to England, Wales, and Scotland, whereas the entire area (including Ireland) is the British Isles.

The Isle of Man (Or Mann, whichever.) is not part of the UK or Ireland, but is a British-Crown Dependency with its own government. :)

I know, but it's still one of the British Isles. :P

There are also the Bailiwicks of Jersey and Guernsey (90% chance I misspelled the latter) but those get forgotten even more than the Isle of Man. (Most people probably haven't even heard of them, I hadn't until a few hours ago.)
