15 + 19 = 36
According to my Math II SAT II study book, 15 + 19 = 36.
WHAT!?
I think their editor DIED midway through working on the book. So many of the problems are so screwed up...
Like the one where they use the 30-60-90 right triangle pattern. Okay, fine. HOWEVER THE SIDE OPPOSITE THE 30 DEGREE ANGLE CANNOT BE LARGER THAN THE SIDE OPPOSITE THE 60 DEGREE ANGLE! Yeesh! Side opposite the 30 degree angle is a and the side opposite the 60 degree angle is a root three, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.
And don't even get me STARTED on the superscript mistakes. The pattern is NOT a to the power of n, minus one. It's a to the power of (n minus one) dangit! Not only is the n supposed to be in superscript, so is the minus one! You don't raise a to the nth power and then subract one from the result!
And this book is supposed to be teaching me math... ><
