~The Groundskeeper~ “Though their appearance is often frightening, gourd-sprites are benign plant creatures, generally held in service by prestigious families as caretakers. They are tasked with tending to the local shrubs, caring for family pets, and keeping malevolent forest spirits at bay. A well-kept gourd-sprite is loyal, practical, and can stay in a family’s service for upwards of 200 years.”

I combed through my pile of leftover G2 parts, borrowed the cape from my CCBs Darth Vader, and created this monstrosity to serve as my entry for BBC #71: The Golden Reaper. Nothing particularly fancy about it, but I had fun making it. Enjoy.

Flickr So here I was, thinking how I'd miss yet another BBC Contest because it was happening during a college quarter when I'm away from my parts and don't have the time to make anything anyway. But then I remembered that I had made a thing recently without posting it on BZP, and even better it actually fits the current contest! And so life was good. ~B~

Good evening to you, members of BZPower. Today I have come to showcase to you a creature of horrific proportions that are far beyond any of you could expect. That creature in question is the one named Gurbanguly, the destroyer of happiness, the killer of joy, the slayer of all that is good in this world. It is said that on every Halloween, Gurbanguly exits his underground lair and prows the nighttime, gobbling up unwary travelers. According to the ancient books of lore, once he becomes strong enough he will go on to conquer the rest of the planet. World leaders are currently scrambling to find a way to stop this destructive beast, however there has been no luck at solving this issue. Little is known about this thing and many suspect that it will be what leads to mankind's demise. So here's my MOC, Gurbanguly the destroyer of happiness. He took a really long time to make and I'm very proud of how he turned out. Front view: Ferocious, am I right? Side view: I also took the time to introduce a function into the MOC. Unlike most MOCs he doesn't incorporate a gear-based function, but rather a pressure-based one. It sends him launching into the air, which is his finishing move before slaying his advisory. Here's a short video demonstrating it:

With his poison claws, tail and spines, this evil being has laid low countless enemies on the battlefield. In the event that his opponents are immune to poison, Zon Toxic carries a lethal fire staff that can singe the limbs right off their bodies. This guy is bringing the pain.
