    Don't worry. I haven't abandoned the Alien Conquest RPG. I plan to continue it. Right now, I am just trying to think of a way to incorporate Galaxy Squad, like I promised Zakar0%, and Mars Mission. Don't worry, I won't let it die.

      It's simply good strategy. They also could have done that before the invasion, built up their forces, and dropped hundreds of thousands of troops and ships on us at once, thinking we would be overwhelmed by sheer force of numbers.

      A foundry, more breeding pits, especially after we destroyed that one. Basically, according to their research, we aren't interplanetary-flight-capable, so Mars would be the one place we couldn't get to and destroy their stuff.

      Yeah, that's true. Or, a combination - We score a victory, and we have men hiding on Mars. The aliens retreat to their command base in the solar system - Mars!

      See, that's the problem. What would make the aliens leave Earth? They are determined to steal our brainpower. The only thing I can think of right now is a major, crushing defeat, such as destroying a large part of their fleet, something that will convince them we're not worth the trouble.

      I'm thinking a little taste of Galaxy Squad, crash-landing on Mars, using Mars Mission, we eventually escape and chase the aliens down again with more Galaxy Squad.

      To be honest, I had not originally planned on a Commando Rank for the Aliens. Right now, I envision it sort of like Halo: The Aliens are hugely ahead of the ADU in tech, but the ADU is catching up, and actually gets some brand new tech. However, after all the asking, I have decided that the Aliens do deserve a little new tech, and in fact, eventually, the fight will either leave Earth entirely when both sides get brand new tech, or the war just escalates.
