  1.

Rewatch the gas mask one. That's always fun. Honestly though, while I liked him best, 10 and 11 had better scenarios.

The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances was IMO Nine's second-best story, behind his (really well-done) finale.

11 is my favorite actor. people say he's silly and childish, but I'm not one of those people.

I like how he's silly, it's humorous, and he does a good job being equally serious during moments where that's appropriate.

11 is fun. I quite like him. I like 9 because of his sarcasm. Because sarcasm is fun.

I loved Nine's sassiness. If he'd had Donna as a companion, nothing would have ever gotten done, they'd be too busy sassing each other. Just like Jack and River would be too busy being sexy.

The finale was good. But I still like the empty child episodes.

And yeah, it would have been hilarious. And I feel like I'm replying too often now...

  2. Your reasoning is... illogical. Animated had three full (fantastic, I might add) seasons.

And there where 2 groups of shows in 2011. If what you said was true the current number of shows would be 0. And if there is in fact a movie being planned, it must not be in much danger.

Besides, it actually went 4, 1, 2, 2,1. if we go by story ark. which makes more sense.

  3. Name: Treadbolt

    Species: Cybertronian

    Gender: Male

    Faction: Autobots

Appearance: Treadbolt is a bulky, somewhat short, green Robot. on his back he carries a plasma cannon, which has been modified to look like a tank turret. He has a faceplate that covers most of his face.

    Alternate Mode: Tiger I tank.

Weapons: Plasma cannon. Accessible in both modes

Personality: He can be fairly brash at times, and doesn't seem to understand the point of having a "disguise". He also likes to "shoot first and ask questions later", not seeming to understand the potential consequences of such actions. And he likes being loud. Really loud. He can be very stubborn and nearly possible to reason with sometimes.

Skills/Special Abilities: He is well versed in ranged combat, as well as having some experience in close quarters combat.

Weakness: Due to his bulk, he is not very fast in either mode, and is a bigger target as well.

Bio: Treadbolt came on The Distant Light, having evacuated the failing planet as most others did. Needless to say, most others don't tend to like him much, as he is quite loud and annoying. But a few can recognize that he has valuable combat skills. As much as he may not like some of the autobots, he realizes that their cause is valuable and chose to side with them.

Good? I'm still somewhat unclear on some stuff, So I won't be jumping in until More gets established.

  4. If they stem from the G1 continuity, they are not encouraged as PCs.However, as Treadbolt did not actually appear in the show or related media, it's a bit fuzzier. It would really depend on the profile, and namely, the quality thereof. If it's a good, fresh take on them, I'd allow it. If it's just slavishly copying the information on the character with a minimal profile, it'll be a "no".

No. Nothing like that. I just kinda like the name for some reason. I honestly didn't view the (Tiny bit of) information that was given about him.

Well, I'm not sure how a molecule would allow for a computer in it

This is in fact exactly what my proto theory addresses. :ziplip:

Anywho, more to the sapience thing. I think it's fairly obvious that dynamic abilities in the brains have to account for this, but I would not inherently attach this to protodermis physics per se. Sapient brains are possible without protodermis, both in real life and with the Agori/etc. so if anything the GBs would probably think that the brains being protodermis would likely make it impossible. And just being dynamic alone is not enough to explain it. (A rolling marble is technically dynamic in that it could go any direction, but not sapient!)

My guess is the GBs studied "real" brains to design the brains of the MU beings, but simply assumed that even though their design mimicked "real" ones (BTW, we don't technically know the design of the Agori brains, for that matter), it wouldn't really be full AI in the sense of having real freewill due to the programming language nature of it. I think in hindsight it should have been obvious to them they'd made fully sapient beings but were just too cautious to even imagine they might have had such a success. So, I doubt it was anything specific to protodermis that made this happen.

However, my proto theory and some other factors related to my retelling's plot could put a twist on this (I plan to leave this detail ambiguous but could comment maybe next year on what I lean toward), so I wouldn't call that absolutely sure at all. Cue another: :ziplip:

    :P

Agreed with fishers that the brain alone cannot be essential in teleportation. It may help as an extra master designator safeguard system, but teleportation's choosing of how to define the edge of an object should be based entirely on the system running the teleportation, not anything in the object being teleported (except with cases like the Mask of Quick Travel where the teleporter is onboard that object and gets teleported along with it, but that's just defining self as the object, so yeah).

Oh... Hm... Yeah... Still need to brush up on it.

  7. The track is set on gears and rolls right along. If it was larger I could motorize it. Ill eventually replace the blue pins, I just didn't feel like digging for the black ones at the time.

O, and this snow thing, its cold white and poofy, and soaks you to the bone when it melts on you lol

Glad you like the moc :)

Hmm... They just look like they would get poor traction to me... But you would know better than I would.

And yes, us Arizona peoples don't have much experience with cold, white, poofy stuff.

  8. I like the overall design, but the colors are rather jarring. I'm aware the color combination was on purpose, but It seems it could have been streamlined a bit. This isn't to say this is a bad moc, far from it. I like the creative way you've updated it and it has a nice build. Though red/brown/black is less jarring to me...

I think I remember someone saying to add different boss music earlier. Well, I think you should use some music from Shadow of the Colossus. If there aren't any copyright issues and stuff, that is. That game has awesome music.

There a almost surely copyright issues... Music laws are incredibly convoluted and don't make much sense...

Then how did the BioMedia project get hold of Bionicle Heroes music?

    Got me...

  11. Seems like an interesting little app. I wonder if one of the "surprises" will be the ability to order a custom fig ... with the popularity of the collectible minifigs, that might be pretty profitable.

That's a lovely thought. But that sounds incredibly unrealistic... Though I wouldn't complain...

  12. Hm... It seems to be a rather interesting design, If you added more and expanded that could be something very interesting indeed. But as it is now, while it's not bad, it's just odd and I really don't get it. Plus you're kinda treading in a minefield with something like this...

  13. This is rather strange. I personally love to make small mocs to set on my desk or shelves. Most sets of mine are dismantled after building them unless I see some significant value in the finished product... And most system based purchases are mostly for the figures anyway... So... No, not for me. Seems a bit odd really...
