Greg has lazily pandered to the portion of the fanbase that wanted to CANONIZE ALL THEIR THINGS for years. I'm not quite sure why you're mentioning this now; has there been a particularly egregious case lately?
~B~
Yeah, this isn't anything new. If anything it just describes the last two or so years of the story. "Hey, I noticed this inconsistency so would you like to use my headcanon?" "Sure, I guess."
When the writers start liberally applying the headcanon of the fans, that's usually when the plot begins to nosedive. Headcanons are often terrible anyway.
Just trying to make a point. Maybe it's that I haven't been paying much attention to the fanbase since 2011, but it seems to me almost everyone is getting their suggestions canonized lately.
Greg being too busy to devote a lot of thought to a story that has ended and being "lazy" are significantly different things. He has a job with Lego writing for the catalogs, the magazines, and the books and comics for various other themes. Canonizing trivial suggestions by fans is a lot easier than agonizing over whether they could adversely affect a story that has essentially been finished for four and a half years, and I can't really fault him for it. Yes, a better decision would probably be to stop taking fan suggestions altogether, but I don't see how it makes that much of a difference in the long run.
I see where you get that. Greg is just preoccupied with more urgent work he has at the moment.
I wouldn't say he's not a good writer. After all, with the support of a story team, he did some amazing work for the books and comics. And he's done great work with some other subsequent LEGO books. You don't have to be able to manage a huge and expansive franchise just to write a good story. There are few headcanons that I support, of which Trans Tamaru is the only one I can name off the top of my head.
Greg's really not that good of a writer. I don't like seeing him get hate for it because he's genuinely trying his level best, but the reality is that you need a story team. Nobody can do it by themselves, especially when you're spending lots of time going out of your way to please the fans. If anything, you get in more trouble by doing that than by staying aloof.
And writing as a part of a team is a skill no less valuable than managing an entire story on your own. Most TV writers work as part of a team, but it would be very unfair to them to say that they're "not good writers".
Greg is not a bad writer, but I think a story team would be of help to him. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll get one, since BIONICLE is, as far as we know, over.

Gotta say, Toa V's return was the only thing that brought me out of retirement.

Lol. My school yearbook for this past school year had a 2012 theme for it, and those lyrics were on the back cover of it.

You got that right.

I almost feel guilty not working on it while Swert paying for the server. I know there isn't much to do on it now but still...
Anyway, I still think the partial loss of logs is kinda good. Now we don't have to worry about people looking back to the things we said that we now think are stupid.

Some people just read blogs and don't bother to comment all the time. I have a habit of doing that, unfortunately.

Now if you can't be as active, I can understand that, but I liked your humor. I would literally crack up just at the slightest thought of it. You could come around on here sometimes at least.

Lol. Just lol.

Palatino Linotype
Easy to read, and has a little style as well. B)

I'm guessing that two of them you particularly had trouble naming were Azelf and that Porygon-Z, since they have no gender.

I wish I could, but I have neither the games or the special connection needed for it. :U

April 16, here I come.

But on the real life, Cholie is way better than you, and me. And everybody, except Swert and CM >
He's got a point there Nid. That's sorta like cheating. I would never do something as dirty as that. :b
BUT IT'S MY BLOG!

Even if I had a blog (which I will make much more fun if its what we get for BZP anniversary week), I wouldn't do something as mean as that. :B

Count me in. I'm plain tired of the arguments between BIONICLE/HF fans and BIONICLE fans.

The originals are always the best. (although I'm starting to really get into my platinum version. xP

Too bad you aren't going to Brickfair, which is in my reach. I could've joined in and sided with you. D':

CHOLIE'S FIRST LAW OF THE INTERNET
The more people hate something, the more popular it becomes.
Like the dreaded Hero Factory. :3

WHY MUST YOU DISAPPEAR WITHOUT WARNING?

1-2) Nope, I wouldn't object
3)Maybe have a Furno Helmet on the top corner?
4)I particularly like this one and this one
As for other stuff, I'd be for a type of operation like maintenance, since the wiki, despite getting bigger from the dedication of various editors, is still missing some pages, and some are stubs, such as our two parent pages; Characters and Locations.

Ever-so true.
At the beginning of school today, my teacher asked everyone in my class if they had any recollections they or someone they've known remembers about that day they'd like to share. One of them said they knew someone whos son was running late to work at the world trade center. Fortunately, he got there after the plane hit, and got out of there as fast as he could.
