  1. IC (Misty Island): Lesvera created a swath of water directly in the path of the spittle and twisted out of the way, hoping to stop it and dilute whatever nasty things were supposed to be in the stuff. She then activated her mask and disappeared, while she pushed Nivigate to the ground and covered him with some of the mist. Her intent was to keep him out of the rahi's sight while she was invisible. With the crab racing ahead, all she had to do was what for the confused creatures to pass her. When they were parallel, Lesvera dropped her invisibility, unfolded one of her punching daggers, and attempted to slam it into the poisonous rahi's other eye. She could have aimed for another part of its body, but she didn't want it to move any closer to Nivigate than necessary.

  2. OOC: Lev- Considering that one lightning strike killed my brother's Xbox and shortened the lives of several of our appliances; yeah I can attest to the devastating part. :PIC (Misty Island): Lesvera quickly loaded a bolt into her hand crossbow. Focusing on one of the rahi with some many powers was somewhat overkill, but she and her party weren't exactly the best at coordinating their attacks. She was about charge forward and send one of the floating monsters flying with a good kick. However she was distracted by an odd scream close behind her.She discovered that the scream had come from Nivigate's crab as one of the rahi had grabbed a hold of it. That same rahi was about to turn its matoran rider into a snack. This was the reason why Lesvera had hung back from the rest of the fleeing group. With one hand, she grabbed Nivigate and pulled him away from the creature and with her other arm, aimed her crossbow at the rahi's head, specifically one of its eyes. At more or less point blank range, she fired, preparing for one partially blinded but very angry monster.

  3. IC (Misty Island): "Wait, Alfon!" Lesvera tried to yell before the Prime ran, "Leading them to the ship could be..!"Of course the 'fearless' leader was already gone before she had a chance to finish."...bad. Well great."With little choice, she followed behind everyone else, hanging back slightly to make sure that the matoran were okay. Kaladin seemed to be making good progress, but she wasn't sure about Nivigate. As she tried to guide the matoran, she noticed that Keran had stopped and was now trying to scare the other rahi away, for lack of a better term. As squeamish as he might have been, the air Toa didn't lack skill or power. However, while he was maintaining his cyclone, she noticed one of the rahi was charging at him with its mouth wide open. She didn't have enough speed to close the distance in time and she couldn't guarantee that one of her crossbow bolts could stop the creature. Concentrating, she stretched out her arm and sent a blast of water at the monster, hoping to deflect it away from Keran. This was the first time were she had shown her control over water so obviously. During the fight with the sea rahi when they first arrived, she had simply written off her abilities to the others by saying that she had "a really good eye."

  4. OOC: I've been running into writer's block. This should not be happening...IC (Great Library): "That's all," Quorvex said, "Thank you, again." As he walked towards the other Toa, his thoughts wandered to Sarillia. She was going to flip when she saw his list of recruits; at this rate he would have enough elemental power to level five cities, in theory. Although, since there was the possibility of fighting a 'toa' just one step below the Great Beings, he felt necessity for the number of Toa.As he walked closer to the Toa, he realized that if Tanika didn't know her, then she was probably a member of the opposite faction. Not that he cared, but the pair of them were just going to have to deal with it if any of them were uncomfortable with the situation."Excuse me ma'am," Quorvex said to Lalar, "But may I ask you as to what you're currently doing?"

  5. IC (Great Library): "Very well Toa Kitala," Quorvex said. While it might have appeared that he was a bit too quick to trust Kitala, he actually had his reasons, even after his little incident in front of the library. If she had actually been rogue, it would have been unlikely for her to hide her identity in a place that frequented by other Toa and Turaga. Whether she was with the Council or the Order, Quorvex didn't particularly care; neither group would seek to bring harm to a matoran if he wasn't doing anything wrong, so he would be safe.*"So I now have an explosives expert, at least one bodyguard, and a scholar," Quorvex muttered, "Unless there is something else you need to discuss; would you happen to know that Toa of... Psionics I think, in the corner over there?"He pointed towards Lalar, who now appeared to be drifting off to sleep.OOC: *And this is totally not because Quorvex's player is trying to get through the recruitment process as quickly as possible because the GM asked for a time-skip. :P

  6. IC (Great Library): "First," Quorvex said, "I need your name. Then, you need to go home and pack. At first light tomorrow go to Takea Tankards; that's we're we will be gathering. After that, we head over to the Traders Guild offices, I convince Sarillia to give us a ship, then start sailing toward Nibar."The matoran paused as he tried to recall what he might have missed. Eventually he said, "As I told my companions, you're limited to only a backpack of personal belongings, so only take the important stuff. Everything else will be provided. As you're not a member of the Guild, there will be some release forms that you will have to sign, but we'll take care of that tomorrow. Once we reach Nibar, we'll be exploring the Outlook Courthouse... I think that's everything. So, are you in?"

  7. Lev: I actually still need some time to finish recruiting people for Quorvex's group, in-game. I know who to find, but I'm still waiting for someone to reply (Burnmad...), so I can't go any faster, as much as I may want to. If this keeps up, I'll probably skip him ahead in time by a few minutes just so he can talk to everyone without waiting for the others, but I'd prefer to exit the Library first.Hex Adders: Well, Quorvex isn't going to run to the other end of the city just to find one particular being, but I do have an idea. We will need Toa of Smooth Jazz's help for this, but I think it would be better than having Quorvex do it:After Quorvex recruits Cadrhon, the Prime realizes that he should probably find some help so he isn't the only Dragon character on this voyage. He runs to Yowrik's villa, explains the nature of the trip (Quorvex has to at least tell him the basics), and Yowrik sends one of his duplicates the next day, either as another bodyguard or as an 'investor'.As for Crentis: on the surface, he's just trying to recruit new crewmembers and a captain so he can start pirating again as soon as the mission is over. While he is trying to do both, he is also planning on steering his new captain further south, away from the Vermillion Dragon. He hopes to find an uncharted island, set up a small hideout, and begin an independent pirating operation in that area. He plans to survive long enough so that he can start raiding the Alliance merchant ships that will eventually follow, as they start hauling ore from the recently discovered islands and back to Yheyn.I will warn you that Crentis may not like Yowrik, even though he is now headed that direction thanks to Hreik. From Crentis' point of view, Yowrik has come down in the world now that he is no longer an active pirate, and the fact that he betrayed his crew will probably annoy him even more. However, I'm not going to pass up an opportunity for one of my characters to actually do something. :P

  8. OOC: Constructman: Quorvex is currently talking to Kitala (Burnmad). I'll move to your character next.IC (Misty Island): While she didn't know how, it appeared that Keran had sensed Lesvera's panic as she started to drop a lot faster than she had expected. She fell back into the fog bank, stopped for second, dropped again, but at a much slower rate. She eventually landed and as her feet touched the ground she quickly sat down, ignoring the bones around her."We're in trouble," Lesvera said as she tried to collect her thoughts, "Remember that weird flying rahi we ran into earlier? There are a lot of them out there, and several of them are flying close to the mountain. We've also got one of them headed this way, so I suggest we start moving; away from the mountain preferably."As she stood up again, she tried to review her options. Fighting an army of strange rahi didn't seem like a good idea, especially one terrain that the rahi were familiar with. That and the mountain, one of the likely places for ore, seemed to be infested with the things. Then there was the chain attached to the Muaka... She would have to discuss all of this with Alfon.

  9. In regards to Krayzikk: sorry. I knew he would be returning soon and if it wasn't today, then it would have to be next week. And Grochi, I generally find it easier to understand someone when they use coherent sentences. Obviously I'm not understanding whatever code, message, or joke you're trying to tell me. So what are you talking about?

  10. OOC: Waiting so Lev has one more chance to post for the flying rahi before anything happens...IC (Great Library): As Krash and Tanika left, Quorvex began to walk toward the Toa of Psionics in the far corner. However, when Kitala spoke up, he performed a double-take and focused his attention on her."Sorry," Quorvex said, "I didn't see you there."Glancing at the book she was reading, it seemed to imply some subject matter related to the Legion Scepter. Well, in never hurt to ask."This might feel a bit sudden, but would you know anything about the character Midnight? And would you be interested in joining an expedition in order to find her?"

  11. Grochi: Alright, are we talking your original dragon character or are you going to make a new one within a very short time-frame? I need to point out that it will be very hard for Qurovex to trust something thats fully capable of swallowing him whole.Evex: Krayzikk is (or was, for all I know at this point) at camp, and he will probably return sometime next week. In thory at least.

  12. Word of advice. This isn't your schoolwork or Microsoft Word. You don't need to change the font size to 12. You can just leave it as the default 14 so that we can can read it. Nobody likes to strain their eyes by looking at small text or yellow text. Best keep both in mind.
When you mention that, I would like to point out that Microsoft Word and BZP's posting system (showcasing small knowledge of jargon there) don't like to play with each other. For whatever reason, the text will drastically change when pasting something from Word to BZP and vice-versa. So instead of this:
    TextTextText
    From Word you get this:
    TextTextText
This is why you'll see some odd font and size choices from myself and possibly some other members as we're trying to find an acceptable combination as BZP doesn't exactly tell you what the defaults are. On a related note Lev; if you're straining your eyes to read size 12 font, you have a serious problem and should really have your eyes checked. :P---Anyway, the list of characters for Quorvex's group appears to be: Quorvex (me), Krash (Zakaro), Tanika (Taka), Yasoth (Darkon), Dralack (Emissary), Cadrhon (Smooth Jazz), and possibly Kitala (Burnmad), and Lalar (Constructman). Eight in total... I think thats enough. At this rate we could actually register a faction with a few more characters, although I don't there will be enough time for that.
  13. IC (Misty Island): While she was taking all of this in, Lesvera also noticed the one rahi flying towards her.'Come on Keran,' Lesvera thought as she loaded a bolt into her hand crossbow, 'A little lower please. Can we speed up my descent just a bit faster now?'She would have tried shouting, but she doubted that the others on the ground would be able to hear her, and it would probably just attract more of the rahi. She did have one backup plan, as always; her water powers. For now she would just wait a bit longer and see what her pursuer would do.IC (Unnamed Inn-Zenonia conversation): Crentis now had his back to the door. Yeah, this wasn't working at all. It was quickly becoming apparent that Hreik was his best option at this point."I'm gone," Crentis said as he opened the door, "I still believe that you should think about what I said. After all, my allegiance to the Dragon might not last for much longer."And with that, he left and shut the door behind him.IC (Sakrinil-After Zenonia conversation): He continued to review his verbal confrontation with Zenonia as he did his best to follow after Hreik. Odds were that she wouldn't show up in the end, but he had been surprised before. Maybe that Prime friend of hers could convince her; he didn't seem to have any problems with his speech...

  14. Smooth Jazz: Done. When I can, I'll have Quorvex take a detour by the docks and have him bump into Cadrhon. Although as I said you'll have to convince him, especially since he'll be suspicious considering it'll be dusk in an area that doesn't have the most upstanding citizens hanging around. You might also want to consider having Vorasku join Crentis' group, considering... well... it's more or less my fault that he's stuck in the city. (Sorry...)Burnmad: I was beginning to wonder. Are you still planning on having join Quorvex's group?Emissary: I was hoping you would join! Quorvex will be going by Takea Tankards after meeting Cadrhon.

  15. IC (Unnamed Inn-Zenonia conversation): Crentis also stood up, but didn't try to present a threatening stance. Things were quickly spiraling out of control and he wasn't sure if he could salvage it."Alright, I'll leave," he said, "But you have to ask yourself; are you truly content here, cleaning rooms in some rundown inn? When the open sea is calling out to you, with all of the perils and rewards that come with it? I don't know what happen to you in regards to the organization, but I have to say your current situation here isn't any better than in the past."Of course, as he was saying all of these things he was slowly but steadily edging toward the door. He knew when to cut his losses, even if he attempted to remedy the situation.

  16. IC (Misty Island): Lesvera indeed noticed that her feet were starting to float off the ground, but Alfon was able to push her back into the dirt and bones. She crouched down, preparing herself for the jump."Alright, Alfon," she said when she was ready, "Let go on three. One. Two. Three!"The Prime released his hold on her shoulders, and Lesvera kicked off as hard as she could, shooting her into the air. She was a good climber and wasn't afraid of heights, but flying into the air without anything to hold onto was a bit disconcerting. It wouldn't take her long to get clear of the fogbank; mist as a rule tried to stick as close to the ground as possible, no matter how thick it was. Of course, there was always the chance that there was something unnatural about the fog, in which case they had much bigger problems...OOC: So Lev, does Lesvera see anything?

  17. Alright, since I don't want to search through 20+ pages of the RP topic to find everyone who has shown interest in the whole Legion Scepter arc, I'm just going to ask here:Who wants their character to join Quorvex little mission to find Midnight and/or the Legion Scepter? I know that Krash (Zakaro) and Tanika (Taka...etc.) are in, and I'll eventually ask Lalar (Constructman) once those two reply. I'm also still waiting for Burnmad to make his new character (as he asked) so he will also be joining, in theory. So, if anyone else wants in, post your character's name, location, and what their currently doing, and I'll eventually have Quorvex run into them.Quorvex would potentially recruit anyone if it looks like they can fight or have some very special skill (Krash and his explosives). As Lev suggested, having a Rebellion, Dragon, or other nefarious character who wants to steal the Scepter are also a great idea, but please try to be subtle. Merchants get special treatment since Quorvex has either meet them or has a list with their name on it; anyone else will get a short informal interview at least. Having your character outright state that he's a part of any of those factions is going to get them turned over to the authorities. :PIn a similar manner, Crentis is also 'recruiting' Vermillion Dragon and other criminally-minded characters in Sakrinil. He's planning on going south after a short detour to Moroni. Having Council or Order members try to infiltrate the group is also a valid idea if they try to pose as rogue Toa, but as with Quorvex's group, you have to convince Crentis that you're aren't waiting to stab him in the back (be it figuratively or literally). Now, I mentioned in an earlier post that there are several matoran who are agents of the Vermillion Dragon who have gone into the city are attempting to find other members who want to get out. If you want to join this group, have your character run into one of them and they'll be directed to the meeting point (it's, oh I don't know... let's say it's an old warehouse next to the waterfront). In other words, you don't have to run into Crentis if you can't make it work logically. In short, there are now two options for characters to go somewhere other than Sakrinil, so for everyone who has been saying that there has been nothing to do; well now there is.

  18. IC (Misty Island): "I actually have a better idea," Lesvera said, "It would be best if we go out of the mist, but as you said, we would need to climb the mountains, which possess their own set of problems. We could fly, but no one has a Miru and I seriously doubt that Keran here has enough to get himself airborne, survey the area, and then land without getting himself killed. However, he does have a Garai."Both of her companions look utterly confused so she explained, "Keran lowers my gravitational pull while Alfon holds me down by my shoulders so I don't float away. I jump as hard as I can and launch myself into the air, above the mist. After that, I get a good look at the area, float back down to the ground, and report what I see. You think we can pull that off?"

  19. Someone needs to remind Turtleman that he can't use his BZPRPG profile in WotS and that he needs to make a new one. I told him already, but hey, more is better.
Well, you already informed him in the RP topic. If he does it again, then Lev will most likely send him a polite PM asking to stop and post a profile in this topic so it can be approved before he continues. Other than that, we just sit back and wait.
  20. OOC: Okay, I can't have Crentis sit around this long. Darkon when (if...) you return, just continue Zenonia's conversation where it left of on page 40.IC (Sakrinil): Crentis eventually exited the room and softly closed the door behind him. The conversation had been interesting to say the least, and he wasn't sure what the final outcome would be. With that in mind, he needed to make sure that he had a backup plan; and that involved Hreik. The Prime left the inn and stepped onto the swiftly darkening streets. With dusk's arrival came the fact that the shipyards would be closed. He hoped that he wouldn't require a swift exit from the city. Well, that wasn't true; he was almost praying that he would have to leave quickly, just to watch the subsequent mayhem that such an escape would cause.Looking around the area, he caught sight of a familiar black outfit; now what was Hreik doing up there? No matter, he would just have to follow him. Crentis began a slow jog through the alleys of Sakrinil, trying to keep the roof-bound Toa in sight. With no real reason to suspect anything, the Prime didn't bother to hide himself as well.IC (Great Library): "Perfect," Quorvex said, "Although, what's your name, Toa..?""Tanika," the Toa replied."Tanika; alright. Anyway, both of you should go home and pack. You'll be limited to a backpack reach, so take only the essentials. If I can spin my report correctly, I should be able to convince Sarillia to give us everything else that we'll need. Meet me at Takea Tankards tomorrow morning, okay?"While he waited for his companions to reply, Quorvex took the time to look at the other parts of the library. He could see another Toa in one corner, reading a book and looking quite bored. As suspiciously convenient as it seemed, he would ask her next.

  21. IC (Misty Island): After finally getting a good look at it, Lesvera also noticed the peculiar quality of the chain. While this made Keran excited, it only made her nervous. She started to study the ground, trying to find where the rahi had originally come from. She eventually found it, but it only led deep into the mist, as usual for this island..."The Muaka appears to have come from that direction," Lesvera said as she pointed toward one of the clouds of fog, "I suggest that we don't go that direction until we can scout out the area. But we'll need to get out of this mist to do that..."She trailed off as she stared straight up towards the sky. She had an idea, but she wanted Alfon's opinion first.

  22. Could someone give me a recap of what's happened to Alfon's crew the last couple days?
We've arrived on an unexplored island that's covered in mist (although I think you know that part). An exploration group (all of the PCs) has marched deeper into the island in order to find... something. We've encountered a rahi that looks like the Dark Hunter Poison, followed it for a short distance, and were ambushed by a starving Muaka. After killing it, we're now inspecting it since it has a collar and chain attached to it and we're wondering where he came from.Hope that helps. :)
  23. IC (Misty Island): Well, it was a start at least, now she just had to make sure that she didn't screw up again. Lesvera followed behind Alfon, still feeling anxious about the whole situation. However, as they approached the Muaka's corpse, she quickly pushed those thoughts from her mind. She bent down to examine the chain. While she might have previously worked in a foundry and was a pretty good tinkerer, she didn't have any real experience at guessing the age of metal. It must have been old if the Muaka was able to break it and she started to look for large spots of rust. However, the mist was getting thicker and even with her elemental powers she was having a hard time moving it out of the way.

  24. Where's the great library?
It's in Sakrinil, the same place where you had your character arrive. :) If you want him to go there just use a post or two of him wandering the city until he finds it; it supposed to be a large building.
